History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

The only nation that was taking in Jews from Germany was fascist Italy. There was also a point where Japanese wanted to import Jews. Ironically it was because the NAZI's conspiracy theories painted them as a superior race. I think there were a few other diplomats that accepted Jewish refugees...

The relationship was a huge benefit for the US because what the Philippines taught Douglas MacArthur. They gave him and understanding and respect for East-Asian culture that was instrumental in the occupation of Japan.

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

Actually, Benito Mussolini accepted Jewish refugees from Germany. He only changed his official stance on the Jews under pressure from Hitler when he needed German aid to maintain control of Italy... its very likely he would have survived the war if he allowed himself to be captured by the Allies...

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

I'm not sure how well this would work out. Mussulini didn't really care about the Jewish thing, but he caved into Hitler on the matter when the Italians became rebellious against his rule and he became dependent on the SS to stay in power.

I consider it more unexploded ordnance from a soviet psychological warfare attack going off.

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

It really isn't. Nearly ever problem facing humanity has at least one if not dozens of near ideal solutions that can't be used because of a single glaring flaw.

And this is the only reason people use fiat currency despite the many problems it has.

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

It isn't. Gold has intrinsic value which has been recognized by litterally every civilization that has known of its existence. It is rare, beautiful and resists tarnish.

Money has to potential to become wealth, but it is not wealth yet. To conflate the two is the same exact fallacy that makes certain idiots want to tax unrealized stock gains.

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

I have two complete counter arguments: First: Something that is inefficient can be improved upon, but you cannot improve upon nothing. Second: it is perfectly possible to create wealth without making a profit, that is what happens to the victims of debt slavery.

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

You are being deliberately obtuse, or you are just too stupid to know the difference between income and profit after trying to lecture me about the definitions of words. If you are not selling donuts, you cannot cut costs to create income. Because cost cutting does not create. If you are selling...

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

If you have no income, cost cutting cannot create income. Cost cutting can never get you past net zero. It does not create. It merely ameliorates. You need to spend, invest in materials and capital, in order to create income.

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

You are just repeating what I disagree with, without every confronting why I say it is wrong. Modern economists measure wealth wrong, and it is causing problems. The most obvious example is executives do very stupid things because they thing cost cutting makes money, and end up sacraficing the...

I am pretty sure this is exactly how Donald Trump made money off a few of his bankruptcies. Shed a failing company for valuable real estate. You aren't actually countering my arguments. You are just pushing the big lie.

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

Money is not wealth, it is transferable debt used to increase the liquidity of the economy. It has been this case since precious metal coinage was abandoned for paper money, and doubly so since the gold standard has been abandoned. Appeal to authority. A logical fallacy. Many textbooks are...

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

No. Money is not wealth. Only permanent goods are wealth. Preserving goods is not the creation of wealth, nor is the avoidance of opportunity costs. Building a house in not a service, it is manufacturing. Installation and software contracting are both edge cases. Cloud services are just a...

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

I'm just criticizing GDP as a metric. I think an economy should be measured by four metrics: Plunder (includes taxes, theft and war reparations), Consumables (production that is used up, food, batteries and fuel), Goods (furniture, toys, cars, housing, etc) and Services (haircuts, news...

History What are some of your most contraversial takes on history?

The problem with GDP is that it includes services. Services do not create wealth, they redistribute it.
