I meant other designs than the ones you listed like for example ones based on the Saber,Akira, and Prometheus classes. As for the drones I'm guessing they're hauling a decent load out of torpedoes and a couple phase cannons that are powerful for the size of the drone.

I'm assuming we got well armed drone attack craft to make that worthwhile? Otherwise we could probably add around a dozen phaser arrays and a bunch of VLS torpedo tubes in the volume/surface area gained by filling the hole and probably a bunch of shield generators as well....hmmm maybe have two...

True but building a Valiant is going to take mere months when we can build them circa 2370(which is also when the Dominion and Borg are becoming serious problems)so it makes sense to be something that we cannot build in a hurry but also can build enough of hence the Andromeda class

Let's just hope the Valiants aren't going to be used as explorers in such a plan. I assume we'll use the Excelsiors and Ambassadors(refitted with 25th century technology) as our exploration vessels until we're allowed to build bigger ships. There's a reason why I picked the Andromeda class.

I'm picking the Andromeda class ship since we'll need numbers to defend the Federation and explore at the same time and moreover since its quite large we'll be expanding our infrastructure to accommodate them which will in turn enable us to build Yamatos,Valiants, and Pathfinders with ease once...
