That's much sooner than I expected; I didn't think it would be re-opened until February.

The only problem I have with that is the fact that said appropriate thread is still locked; not that that matters, because it's also located within the politics subforum. Here's a suggestion; maybe the thread meant for discussing this forum shouldn't be tied inexorably to politics.

One thing I'd suggest is for the staff to have a plan in place in case civil war breaks out; I realize most people think that could never happen, but most didn't think what happened on the 6th could happen either.

And that is something I can get behind. I simply don't support cracking down on and curtailing political discussion in order to foment that expansion, as some seem to want.

Assuming that we ever calm down. I'm chalking it up to the fact that we just had a transition of power; those are always chaotic. Now, if this is still going on a month from now; that's a different story.

That thread hasn't been updated since October, and most bans to that point weren't even announced in it.

Problem is, it may be impossible to contact some of them even if you do decide to rescind their ban.

I don't care one whit who invited you; I was here first, by a wide margin. I joined almost the day this forum went public; I think I'm a bit more invested in the culture of this forum than you are.
