Technology Additively Manufactured Firearms

3D printing firearms has come a long way from the Liberator back in 2013. Nowadays we got people like PSR, Ivan the troll, and Hoffman Tactical. Showing off what you can really do with 3D printing.

People are making Gatling Guns, Signaling Devices that look like RPG's, and fully printed uppers and lowers for AR-15's.

It's crazy how durable filament is if it allows creative people to design and make this.

This is of course. A signaling device, for flares.

The engineering that goes into something like this is fascinating.

I'm opening the gates to discuss any neat designs you've seen and videos of them getting tested out.

(Politics on this can go in the Gun Politics thread, this is for showing off and talking about neat designs)

(Don't share the STL files here, if you want to get started head over to The Gatalog for some educational resources)

Sure, although I have to point out that the Orca upper and lower don't use 3D print for any of the actual firing action, it's basically an AR upper and lower with 3D printed furniture and some 3D printed small parts.

For sure. Some parts just can't be 3D printed yet. .22 is the most common caliber for things that are fully 3D Printed from what I've seen. Discounting the 26.5mm and 37mm launchers.

I will say the orca is one of the designs that uses the least amount of non 3D printed parts. Usually for AR builds you buy an upper it's just the lower that's 3D printed with a FCG dropped in.

An Orca just needs a barrel, BCG, Buffer, Charging handle and a FCG. Not including the clamps and pins needed to put it together.

Before I forget you can't have a thread like this without mentioning JStark (RIP in peace) creator of the FGC-9. He and a few others made a guide for making everything from the barrels and Bolts to ammunition. A legend.

Following.

Here's some more videos about fun with rockets and 3D Printing.

And some AWCY? videos. Do note. They are not associated with the SCP AWCY? faction at all. The original author for AWCY even made a statement on the SCP forums that he is against everything they stand for. It's pretty funny.
