Aldarion
Neoreactionary Monarchist
For games based on anime and/or manga...
OK, so I just recently bought My Hero One's Justice. Not too expensive, thankfully, yet it is quite fun. I had played Dissidia Final Fantasy NT before - the free edition - and MHOJ is far better. Now, I haven't played FFNT in a while, but from what I do remember, there are several factors which make MHOJ far better:
1) Gameplay is more varied, though naturally that depends on the character you are playing.
2) Graphics are actually... not better, but more interesting. It simply has that animesque feel.
3) Game actually has a story beyond the excuse plot. Said story is lifted straight from the manga, so whether you have read the manga or not, you won't be missing much.
4) It has far more different modes and content than Dissidia.
Also, characters are unlocked over the levels - there is none of that "pay for the character you like" thing from DFF:NT, although the game does offer the option of paying for characters for lazy asses who cannot be bothered to actually play through the game. Not an issue for me, considering Shoto is by far my favorite character (both in the manga and in this game), and I already have him.
