    Meanwhile back in the Philippines....
  • Meanwhile in Mindanao.....
    September 21st, 2014
    Somewhere in the Mindanao Region

It was a late night & the MILF rebels as well as other groups in the Mindanao Region were preparing for another rebel attack, when one of the rebel leaders noticed a large, white blazing light coming down fast. He didn't know what to do or say, but he kept noticing this white light shining for awhile before he said "What is that?".....

    BOOM!

The Armed Forces of the Philippines & US Forces Philippines had launched a joint military operation by firing small-scale airstrikes on the MILF & other rebel-held territory, this was called Operation Dirty Harry: the casualties consisted of 57,000 people & over 500 injured; the joint military operation kept upping the ante by launching more small-scale airstrikes then soon afterwards barrel-bombs striking the entire Bangsamoro Region; Sulu Archipelago; Palawan; Basilan & other neighboring islands. This would continue, which resulted in more casualties.....

    Chapter 4: Roberts Commission Testimony
  • Eyewitness Accounts: Olivia Ramsey
    12:36 PM PHST, September 22nd, 2014

"I was getting home from a long day at work over at the ABS-CBN Studios, where I usually do late night shifts at nights and early mornings, finishing up over 13 HRS working with the production staff in the production room while the Television news show, "ANC Alerts" was being broadcast highlighting the upcoming State Visit of US President Barack Obama to the Philippines. I was excited at President Obama's visit to our wonderful country and decided to go to bed on the evening hours of April 27th.

It was 8:00 PM PHST when I got home and was greeted by my significant lover, Denise De Los Santos. One thing led to another and we engaged in a steamy sex escapade that lasted for all night long.... Waking up, I glanced at Denise, who was asleep and woke her up by kissing her in the mouth "Good morning baby" and she replied "Nice to have vacation time all to ourselves" before once again: we engaged in another sex escapade that lasted non-stop and it continued throughout the late night.

On Monday, April 28th, Denise and I were in the shower making love of course, when the phone rang loudly. I got out of the shower naked and barefoot with no towel and answered "Hello". On the other line, Wayne Martinez of ABS-CBN News replied "Ramsey. It's Mr. Martinez. Are you alone?" I responded "No I am currently on vacation. What's going on?" Martinez responded by saying "There's some major incident happening in Manila. We need you to get over to the studio ASAP!" before hanging up.

After grabbing a towel and drying off, I told Denise that I had to go back to work on some major assignment at the studio. Denise said she understood and told me "Don't be there too late because we need to have more fun" before I got dressed and kissed her goodbye, driving back to the ABS-CBN Studios.

    September 22nd, 2014

I was guarding the nuclear football while aboard Air Force One earlier in the day, as we were preparing to land at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, Philippines. It was a bright crispy, sunny day and I noticed a group of people lined up to greet the President as he and several others would step out of Air Force One.

The time was 12:00 PM and I was holding onto the nuclear football very tightly and guarding it with my life. US Marine Corps Brigadier General Zachory Burger was instructing some of the military attaches and others in making sure everything was going well in terms of no crazy, violent incidents happening during the President's State Visit to the Philippines. Around 13 minutes, we were inside Marine One as I sat in the backseat of the presidential helicopter, waiting for the President to walk toward the helicopter pad of the airport. It was 12:13 PM and while the weather was mildly hot, it was also breezy with air breezing all over the place.

    September 23rd, 2014

"Upon hearing the gunshots on the grounds of Malacanang Palace on April 28th, I ducked to avoid getting hit, but managed to grab an emergency audio phone in one of the accompanying vehicles from the Presidential motorcade and alerted that medical attention was immediately needed on the grounds of Malacanang Palace ASAP. Once Presidents Obama and Aquino, III were shoved into the presidential limousine by some members of the US Secret Service and Philippine Presidential Security Group, I noticed that President Obama was unconscious and bleeding with a large gaping wound in the right backside of his head, which was exposed as brain matter.

I immediately concluded that both Presidents had been shot by either high-powered sniper or shotgun. I then tried to get a pulse, which was faint and noticed President Aquino, III was also unconscious but breathing heavily. Almost immediately, I yelled at the driver "GET US TO THE HOSPITAL QUICKLY DAMN IT!" which we immediately sped hard out of Malacanang Palace.

Once we got to Makati Medical Center, the emergency surgeons immediately took President Obama and President Aquino, III on stretchers, immediately took them to separate operating rooms at the hospital as security locked down Makati Medical Center including the surrounding areas of Metro Manila. I was in the main operating room where President Obama was being operated on by surgeons and doctors. I remained with several members of the Secret Service, one of the military attaches and members of the Presidential entourage of dignitaries who accompanied the President to Manila."

"I was inside the news studio getting ready for news programming coverage of the State Visit of US President Barack Obama to the Philippines. It was a beautiful day on that Monday, April 28th. The sun was out and yes, according to many people, it was also mildly hot due to the summer heat. I was doing live coverage of this historic event marking the first time an American President had visited the Philippines in just 11 years since then-US President George W. Bush did from October 18th-19th, 2003.

Among the topics discussed during our live programming: the South China Sea Crisis, Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement between the United States and Philippines boosting defense and military ties; the hallmark of United States/Philippine diplomatic relations over the past 60+ years with several foreign policy analysts, national security analysts including some political analysts to discuss the importance of President Obama's visit.

Everything was going fine during the Welcoming Honors Ceremony on the grounds of Malacanang Palace: The 21 Cannon Salute followed by the respective National Anthems of the United States ("Star-Spangled Banner") and the Philippines ("Lupang Hinirang"). Soon afterwards, it was time for the Honor Guard Inspection of the PSG Marching Band and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

As soon as we all watched President Obama and President Aquino both walking past the PSG Marching Band, I heard a weird backfiring sound, which I, like everyone else, had assumed somebody was nervous and accidentally fired one of the cannons. All of a sudden before my very eyes, I saw President Obama clutching his chest with his left hand before slumping to the ground on his left knee, which was after he got struck by another gunshot. Then, I was mouthing "Oh my God" with the cameras split screens showing my horror as President Aquino was also struck by gunfire and just before everyone else on the panel knew it, President Obama was struck again, this time in the right backside of his head which exploded upon impact. Next, to the horror that everyone was seeing live on television, more gunshots rang out in which many spectators in the crowd had gotten hit by gunfire; members of the Presidential Security Group, US Secret Service including some officers from the Philippine National Police had gotten wounded by gunfire as well. It was a total of 57 shots being fired and possibly more than that...

A group of Secret Service and PSG agents grabbed Presidents Obama and Aquino by putting them into the Presidential limousine, which was accompanied by additional vehicles from the Secret Service, PSG and PNP as they immediately sped out of Malacanang Palace at record-high speed. Once the live feed was cut off, I was breathless and had to report on what everyone had just witnessed on live television on the shooting at Malacanang Palace."

President Biden delivers his first address to the United Nations General Assembly as the 48th President of the United States.

On Wednesday morning, President Biden addressed the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly. This was his first address to the UN General Assembly as the 48th President of the United States of America. Five months into his Presidency, Biden needed some foreign policy wins in his administration in the worst way as domestic issues were engulfed by hyper partisanship culture wars ahead of the upcoming 2014 Midterms.

Biden outlined the following during his speech:
*Global response of battling ISIS; Biden also pledged to continue working with a broad coalition of countries including those in the Middle East in crushing the terrorist organization.
*President Biden also repeatedly reiterated that US military troops would NOT be deployed on the ground, but will be working with local authorities.
*In working to prevent racial & ethnic tensions back home, President Biden acknowledged that the United States will continue working through this deep divisions & cited the recent riots in Ferguson, MO as well as mistrust between police and minority communities.
*On other international issues President Biden discussed the illegal Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Ebola outbreak in Western Africa & the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

  • Biden approval ratings still in the dumps
September 29th, 2014: With less than two months to go, polling surveys from Real Clear Politics, Gallup, ABC News, Washington Post, Fox News & others all show President Biden's approval ratings still in the trash; Real Clear Politics polling survey had Biden's approval ratings around 33% with a resounding 60% strongly disapproving.

Voters cite violent crime, illegal immigration crisis, disastrous economic policy, foreign policy debacles as major factors.

Vice President Landrieu on the campaign trail ahead of the 2014 Midterms
October 3rd, 2014: With President Biden deeply unpopular across America, the Biden White House decided to deploy Vice President Mary Landrieu, a Blue Dog Southern Democrat on the campaign trail for Democratic candidates across the country in the closing stretch ahead of the 2014 Midterms.

Landrieu had recently held fundraisers for the following Democratic gubernatorial candidates: Charlie Crist in FL; incumbent CO Governor John Hickenlooper (D); Thomas Wolf in PA: where polling surveys have Wolf leading by double digits over incumbent PA Governor Tom Corbett (R); incumbent OR Governor John Kitzhaber (D); incumbent MN Governor Mark Dayton (D); incumbent IL Governor Patrick Quinn (D).

She also campaigned for US Senate candidates in the following states: incumbent United States Senator Mark Warner (D-VA); incumbent United States Senator Mark Udall (D-CO); former US Rep. Charlie Melancon (D-LA); incumbent United States Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH); US Rep. Bruce Braley (D-IA) in IA; US Rep. • BREAKING NEWS: US Embassy in Caracas ransacked & firebombed
*October 9th, 2014: On late Thursday night, the US Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela was ransacked & firebombed by FARC rebels, who are strongly backed by the Venezuelan government & supported by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

According to some eyewitnesses, the FARC rebels ambushed several Embassy staff employees & violently rampaged the grounds by inflicting torture, gaslighting tactics & other heinous activities; as of this report, five Americans working at the US Embassy in Caracas were kidnapped & held hostage.

No comment by the US State Department regarding the hostages, despite issuing statement blasting the violence against US Embassy personnel.

This didn't stop Republicans from putting the Biden administration on full-blast for inaction on rescuing the hostages or sending military deployments. There are calls for the Colombian Armed Forces to get involved in rescuing the hostages if things continue to escalate.

Polling: Biden's approval ratings plunges into the teens
*October 14th, 2014: The NBC/Wall Street Journal Polling Survey revealed more bad news for President Biden just several weeks before the 2014 Midterms.

His approval ratings have plunged downward....into the teens: 17% of Americans approving his job performance while an overwhelming 69% strongly disapprove the job he's doing. More foreign policy debacles continue to mount as critics blast the weakness of the Biden administration on the following debacles: South China Sea Crisis, ongoing civil war between Russia & Ukraine, ISIS wreaking havoc non-stop in the Middle East, disastrous reproachment policy with Cuba.

Midterm highlights: Democrats in competitive Senate & Gubernatorial contests keep strong distance from Biden
*October 23rd, 2014: With the Midterms getting closer, political analysts & experts are predicting the 2014 Midterms will be an epic bloodbath for the Democrats in November. Democratic candidates in competitive US Senate & Gubernatorial elections are keeping their distance & avoiding President Biden like the plague.

United States Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) reportedly asked President Biden to NOT visit Virginia at all due to polling surveys showing a tightening in the Virginia US Senate contest against former RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie (R), who's running aggressive hard-hitting television commercials tying Warner to the unpopular Biden administration.

In Arkansas: the DSCC has reportedly cut off all financial funds to support the reelection campaign of United States Senator Mark Pryor (D-AR), who's badly trailing US Rep. Tom Cotton (R-AR) in multiple polling surveys.

North Carolina: Incumbent United States Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) is facing a difficult reelection campaign against NC House of Representatives Speaker Thom Tillis (R-Cornelius) as both the RSCC & DSCC including outside organizations spending massive loads of $$$ in one of several nationally-watched US Senate contests across the country

RUMORED POLITICAL SCOOP: OREGON GOVERNOR'S FIANCEE INVOLVED IN POTENTIAL SCAM SCANDAL
*October 25th, 2014: Fox News reported of potential explosive bombshell regarding the Oregon Gubernatorial election, where incumbent Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber (D), who's seeking reelection to fourth term, might see his odds of winning next month, go up in smoke, due to rumors of his fiancee, defacto Oregon First Lady Cylvia Hayes being involved in a scamming scandal by taking money from investors & unsuspecting people.

Kitzhaber blasted the Fox News report as "Stupid ass damned lies" during a press conference at the Oregon State Capitol building in Salem.

Election Day: Tuesday, November 4th, 2014 (Part I)
  • ELECTION NIGHT: THE 2014 MIDTERMS
    Tuesday, November 4th, 2014

Faced with strong backlash against the Biden administration's handling of the Ebola Crisis during the Fall of 2014, the Democrats had been facing headwinds in the past few months due to several key factors: the Russian invasion of Crimea, Ukraine; violent race riots in Ferguson, MO; negative tone of the political campaigns; the non-stop debate over the ACA which Republicans had been aggressively pushing to repeal the law altogether. Other issues not getting attention: Keystone Pipeline, Net Neutrality among other key issues.

The honeymoon period President Biden had gotten in the previous months following the assassination of then-President Barack Obama? GONE
Goodwill that the Biden administration had tried to reach out to Americans of different political view? GONE
Turnout among minorities & young Americans 18-29 year olds? GONE
Here are the highlights from the 2014 Midterms:

PROJECTION: REPUBLICANS RETAIN CONTROL OF THE US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
    US_House_2014.svg

Republicans picked up thirteen seats in the US House of Representatives, giving them their largest majority since 1928; they won a total of 247 seats while Democrats won 190 seats. On the national level, Republicans won the popular vote for the House by a margin of 5.7 percent.

BREAKING NEWS: REPUBLICANS GAIN CONTROL OF THE UNITED STATES SENATE

    2014_United_States_Senate_elections_results_map.svg
*Out of the 38 Senate races that were up for election, including three special elections (OK, SC & HI). 24 of the contested Senate seats were held by Democrats and 15 were held by Republicans. On Election Night, Republicans picked up eight Senate seats, therefore giving control of the United States Senate to the Republicans for the first time since 2005 when they last controlled the upper chamber; this was also the first election since 1980 when more than three incumbent Democratic United States Senators lost their bids for reelection to Republican challengers.

These results pretty much made the remainder of President Biden's tenure a lame duck at this point, rating the odds of appointing judicial nominees useless.

CA Governor Edmund Gerald "Jerry" Brown, Jr., (D) accompanied by his wife, CA First Lady Anne Gust Brown, smiles as he speaks with reporters outside the Old Governor's Mansion State Historic Park in Sacramento after the Associated Press projected Brown was reelected to a historic 4th term as the Golden State's Governor.

On the Gubernatorial front, the Republicans exploited anti-Democratic sentiment & backlash against the Biden administration by winning open GOP-held seats in AZ, NE & TX; gaining three Dem-held open seats in MA, MD & AR. They also picked up the IL governorship with Bruce Rauner (R) defeating incumbent IL Governor Patrick Quinn (D), who was defeated in his reelection bid for a 2nd full 4-year term ending 12 years of Democratic dominance in Springfield. The Republicans got a total of 30 governorships overall, while the Democrats only controlled 20 total. However, it wasn't all bad on some sorts: Democrats held onto Dem-held open seats in RI & HI; they picked up the PA governorship with Tom Wolf (D) easily defeating incumbent PA Governor Tom Corbett (R), which snapped a streak of reelecting governors in the Keystone State since 1974 & also picked up the OK governorship with former OK Governor Brad Henry (D) easily defeating scandal-plagued incumbent OK Governor Mary Fallin (R); Bill Walker (IND) defeated incumbent AK Governor Sean Parnell (R), who was defeated in his reelection bid for a 2nd full 4-year term.

  • Dirty Little Secret of Miriam Quinones....

Somewhere in the outskirts of Paris, France

    Miriam realizing she's pregnant.....

Somewhere in the outskirts of Paris, Miriam Quinones was in the first leg of a long vacation when she felt a horrible urge inside her stomach as she ran to the bathroom to vomit badly.

This had been going on over the past few weeks; Miriam had assumed it was a typical stomach bug, so she ignored it but the horrific urge to vomit escalated to the point of being told to visit a doctor. Miriam thought to herself "Maybe this bug will go away" as she was resting in a secluded resort in the outskirts of Paris enjoying the beginning of a long vacation.

Fast forward to November 5th, Miriam had gone to the clinic where she met with her sister, Paola, who checked Miriam's vital signs & other details. It didn't take too long for Paola to figure out the obvious of Miriam's packing the sudden pounds: she broke the news to her sister, "Congratulations Miriam. You're pregnant!" Miriam was happily excited, but in the back of her mind, she wondered how it happened; the flashbacks came with Miriam's multiple secret rendezvous with NY St Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) inside the NY St Executive Mansion in Albany from several months before.

Miriam decided to have the baby, knowing how Cuomo's sinister ruthless streak was inflicted on the weak & others from legislators, journalists, etc., she chose not to tell the powerful & corrupt authoritarian NY St Governor, whose thirst for power was escalating.

    Aftermath of the 2014 Midterms
  • Press conference
    12:00 PM EST, Wednesday, November 5th, 2014
    East Room, White House
    Washington, DC

The day following the 2014 Midterms, President Biden walked up to the podium in the East Room of the White House & faced a cold-hearted reality: the Republicans now have full control of the US House of Representatives & the United States Senate. Among the topics discussed: Democrats' poor lackluster performance in the 2014 Midterms; priorities of the Biden administration being potentially blocked by the Republican controlled Congress; foreign policy; will the President run for a full 4-year term in 2016 ?

*President Biden: "Good afternoon my fellow Americans. Yesterday, the American people casted their votes across our nation and once all of the votes were tallied, the verdict in last night's elections revealed the Republican Party had won in a huge victory across the board. While I am strongly disappointed by the results in terms of my party, the Democrats, I believe that hopefully divided government will be forcing both political parties to working together on key issues concerning Americans.

First on the elections last night. Democrats held onto US Senate seats in the following states: New Hampshire, Virginia, Michigan; picked up Governorships in Pennsylvania and Oklahoma. While we held onto Governorships in Rhode Island and Hawaii. I've spoken to the following winners on the Democratic side: Incoming Governors Raimondo, Henry, Wolf and Ige. I don't want to leave out the other side of the aisle because I just don't want to be accused of being baised (laughs).

On the Republican side: I've called to congratulate the following incoming Governors: Hogan, Ducey, Abbott, Baker and Rauner. Just wanted the press to know that I've requested to meet the incoming Governors to the White House so that we can meet face-to-face and discuss areas of commond ground between the Federal government and the States because after all, we all live in the same country.

Second, on the congressional front, I've spoken to both Speaker Boehner and incoming Senate Majority Leader McConnell congratulating both of them on their party's success at the ballot box last night. Despite strong disagreements ranging on major policy issues, I am keeping optimism that we can work together because in the aftermath of a heated campaign, Americans want us to work together.

Third, we've got some major challenges facing us as a country as we're closing out 2014. A year that began with such promise, resulted in tragedy and traumatic circumstances which resulted in the powers of the presidency falling on my shoulders less than seven months ago. I want to urge everyone that we as a country, have been tested, challenged during unforeseen difficult circumstances over the past few months since.

Now I think based on the body language of some of you reporters, that you're ready for questions."

*Reporter 1 (CBS News): "Mr. President. The midterm elections last night resulted in Republicans dominating all across the ballot throughout America from Congress down to the countywide offices. What message does this send to your administration?"

*President Biden: "The American people sent a strong, clear message yesterday by telling Congress and yours truly that they expect both the executive and legislative branches to get things done because the political posturing is over!"

*Reporter 2 (NBC News): "Following up on a topic not discussed during the campaign trail Mr. President. With both the House and Senate in control by the Republicans, what does this mean for your administration's domestic policy agenda such as Immigration Reform, the battle over Health Care, Infrastructure, Environmental legislation including Climate Change?"

*President Biden: "We'll have to wait and see if the Republicans make the first move on policy plans for the coming year. Let's hope that divided government doesn't turn into a potential gridlock of culture wars."

*Reporter 3 (Fox News): "Mr. President. There's reports of potential criminal investigation into the business activities of members of your administration and possibly some members of your fam..."

*President Biden: "Excuse me. We're not going to turn this press conference into another culture war that folks like you enjoy by inventing with fake outrage all of the time. Unless you've got serious questions on policy, the Midterm elections, foreign policy. I suggest you settle down and ask some tough questions...."

*Reporter 3 (Fox News): "With all due respect Mr. President. Republicans in Congress are planning on pushing for congressional hearings, launching investigations into the administration. Aren't you concerned about the potential impeachment possibility if these investigations turn into criminal prosecution?"

*President Biden: "Once again. I don't want to get into a temper tantrum with you, but you seem to come here with an agenda from your superiors. Sit down and shut up!"

After a long-dragged out press conference which lasted 2 hours & 57 minutes, President Biden left the East Room as some reporters kept yelling questions. But it was quite clear that Biden's plans on potentially seeking a full 4-year term in 2016 were running into roadblocks: former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the Democratic side & many ambitious Republican politicos.
