These descriptions are inspired by the MMORPG "EVE Online", and taken from a Hungarian forum, where someone tried to elaborate on these speculative future civilizations' day-to-day lives. How would you rate them and if you had to choose from them as a future home, where would you most likely prefer living and why?

1. Amarr Empire

You are walking home to your loving family and your faithful slave. Your elaborate robe is comfortable and flows with the wind, but the Cilice strapped around your ankle reminds you of your previous sins. Beautiful Gothic buildings and monuments line your path, the Gold glitters on the statues, in the late day sunlight.

You go through the Bazaar, from where the music of Turkish flutes and smell of exotic spices flows out. Today, work proceeded in the Cathedral par excellence. You have successfully conducted the ceremonies, the Acolytes were professional and educated, and displayed a great degree of devotion.

You reach your 2-storey house, which is richly decorated. You step through the door and your faithful slave takes off your shoes and washes your hands.

"Hallowed is the Lord, and You, my Earthly Lord!" he shouts raising his hands to the sky, and bows before you.

You step into the Dining Room where an elaborate and delicious dinner is spread on the table. Yellow rice spiced with Saffron, Kebab, Fresh Pita, Salad, Couscous... Your loving wife and daughter are already waiting for you there sitting in their chairs. They are wearing thick veils and long skirts.

You greet eachother, hold eachother's hands (while the slave goes off to the corner) and chant the Table Blessing.

You feast on the slave's delicious dishes, and sometimes throw him scraps, which he eagerly consumes, crawling and creeping around the floor.

Your daughter recites some stories from your family's past, and you have a familial discussion about the Holy Scriptures.

You say the Evening Prayers, the daughter goes to her room to sleep, and you proceed to the bedroom with your wife, where the best silken bedclothes, and aromatic candles await...

2. Caldari State

You stumble out of your workplace exhausted and stressed.

The company will never recover from this Bear Market, your boss will take your head, you will forever be judged by this mishap.

Your grey elastic onesie switches into cooling mode, as you start sweating from stress and anxiety. Around you, there are chrome-colored uniform buildings, commercials blear from all around, people are almost running through the street in their daily business, and are avoiding eye-contact.

You walk to the subway station, while buying a Vodka from a vending machine, and swallow it immediately. Ahh, the world suddenly seems friendlier.

The subway is overcrowded, but two robotic arms grab you and press you into a small space aboard. You start speeding towards your home with 500 kilometres per hour. You arrive before a 2-kilometres-tall skyscraper, you ascend with the elevator, and fall into your apartment shared with your partner.

Your partner's letter informs you that she has to work overtime this day. You open the fridge, take out a tube of nutrients, and squeeze it into your mouth, then you collapse onto the couch to sleep.

3. Gallente Federation

"This job in making commercials is great!" You exclaim loudly, while walking down the wonderful Crystal Boulevard. You yourself and every person around you wears controversial, colorful, and unique clothes as if Lady Gaga herself designed fashion here.

Buildings are made from solid diamond, because the Federation's main bunker is below this city. Both beautiful and useful...

On the way home, you see a porn-exhibition, three freshly-opened art galleries, and three new scientific exhibitions, featuring wondrous new discoveries and potiential upgrades to technology.

You enter your house, which looks like a dice standing on its edge, one of its wings is a bird-wing, another is a bat-wing, and it is painted rainbow-color. You greet your two husbands, and three wives.

You order delivery food, which features appetizers from every imaginable cuisine around the world.

After dinner, you all take off your clothes, and take out the sex toys...

4. Minmatar Republic

You are walking home fully covered in machine oil from the spaceship-workshop while drinking beer and laughing with your co-workers wearing working clothes.

The work was hard and greasy, but many funny thing also happened during it. Around you the road is pockmarked, the sidewalk is cracked, and the buildings are about to collapse.

However party music blares from many cars, and people are dancing and having fun in the street.

You reach your apartment in a 10-storey apartment building, owned by your tribe, and your little apartment, inhabited by your wife, your five children, and yourself. Everyday life is generally good for all of you.

Everyone is happy that you have managed to reach home safely. You say a prayer to the Pagan Gods, and to the Spirits of your Ancestors, then comes dinner, Potato Soup.

After Dinner, you manage to fix the alarm clock with your wife, so it will ring in the morning. The kids are repairing a radio, your wife suddenly rips your clothes off you, and suggestively starts caressing your tribal tattoos...

I will go with Space Turcic/Ottoman Empire.
Sounds like the most enjoyable one to live in.

When I played EVE Online way back during the Apocrypha expansion, I started out as Gallente because they felt like the classic Federation. Reading the online text, it seems that they are corrupt and hedonistic, but I never got that feel ingame. They also had sleek, curvy spaceships.

If I had to pick from the four options listed in the OP, I'd go Amarr, or maybe Minmatar but I don't have a strong constitution for hard, dirty work in filthy spaceships. If the options could be expanded to any EVE Online faction, then why not Concord? Can't see how the space police would be bad.

Huh. That was never the impression I got of the Gallente. Or the Caldari. Amarr are mostly on point as well as the Minmatarr.

Even as written, Gallente all the way. Even if a lot of people are hedonistic wastes of space doesn't mean I have to be.
