A new species of beast is found in various Worlds. Not a combat one... but something far more mild in temperment and potentially of benefit to the local inhabitants.

SILT STRIDERS!

Now you can fast travel in luxury as it is meant to be traveled... minus the Dark Elf caravaneer.

Fallout:

Populations of These Giant Arthopods are found in wetlands and coastal areas, including the Marshlands South of Hyde Park in the Commonwealth, the Point Lookout Area of Maryland, as well as the Bay Area of the New California Republic and inland around Lake Mead and Zion Valley. Also Mirelurks do not attack Silt Striders (unless they are provoked).

Westeros:

Found in abundance in the morass that is the Neck Region in the North, including the Marshlands surrounding Moat Cailin. Far smaller populations can be found in larger river valleys and inlets in the Riverlands and Stormlands.

Middle Earth:

Found in number in the Ithilien River Delta of South Gondor as well as in smaller numbers at the Sea of Rhun and Delta of the River Isen and even smaller numbers at the Ettenmoors. Trolls, Orcs and Goblins avoid Wild Silt Striders. Wolves and wargs avoid them generally.

This is a very exciting topic I know and I'm dizzy with the potential discussions of what profound impact they could have in other settings.
