This is the thread for all ecological disasters. Man made and things nature has done but mostly man made. This is also for disaster caused in the past as well as the present. Like the fact a certain Soviet bioweapon lab was once on an island that was in a lake Soviet farmers dried up.

Saw your idea and thought to expand it to include natural disasters as well. Mother nature is a bitch on her period. People seem to forget that.

Figure this is likely to be relevant in the near future; that sort of bridge collapse with tanker cars on it is no small thing to clear or repair.

The news article I saw called it a "derailment" which it is, but really undersells what happened. Our infrastructure is neglected and we should expect more of this
