The sets, costumes and visual effects look great(except Power Armor).
But if you like Fallout: New Vegas I just don't recommend the show at all. I don't think I can play it again without thinking everything I do in that game is meaningless. I think if I do another replay of it I'll do an NCR route playthrough. They deserve it after what I just watched.

First episode legitimately wasn't bad or terrible or anything. Suspicious amount of black people for a retrofuture technobabble 50's universe but as if that wasn't going to be the case.
Ghouls look like shit, but that's been the case since Fallout4. Plot so far is kinda shit, but I'm sure it'll pick up like most shows do.

Bethesda hasn't just spat on New Vegas, they retconed it. From what I've read Shady Sands in the show was destroyed in 2277, four years before the events of New Vegas. They've pulled a Tactics on it. Not to mention that Shady Sands is now in LA for some reason, despite the fact that the original Shady Sands was not being built near any pre-war ruins or that LA already had another post-war city in the Boneyard.
Bethesda/Amazon has done what Disney did to Star Wars to the Fallout timeline. Much like Star wars has Disney Canon and Legends, Bethesda Fallout and Interplay/Obsidian Fallout have too many differences to be considered to be a part of the same universe.

Something that pisses me off about Fallout TV show, it presents the past as being idylic instead of the hyperinflation resource-restricted militarized-EVERYTHING shithole that it really was.
We're talking about a world so fucked up that showing warcrimes of power-armored soldiers executing Canadians while laughing is a positive-message for viewers.

It wasn't though, you looked at the perspective of millionaires not the common people who were struggling, Moldaver did mention that the US was going broke from hyper inflation in like Episode 6 and that's why they were heavily influenced by Vault Tech who wanted to monopolize their influence.

The people you see who are optimistic are either already one of the wealthiest of America or with good connections.
