Amazon Prime Amazon Fallout series.

*Shrugs* They depicted the pre-war America as being a rather nice place to live, not my fault that's how they chose to direct it.
Watch the Fallout 1 intro and come back to me.

Please indicate to me where it says the super wealthy struggled for resources, I'll wait.
I watched the video and it never mentioned the super wealthy struggling, in fact it's the super wealthy or people with connections that managed to get into vaults in the first place.

Edit: Resource shortages wouldn't effect the super wealthy because they can pay higher prices easier than poor people btw

Anyway, giving the show a solid 9/10.

-2 Points for the Shady Sand Retcons (Time line and Location)
-2 Power Armor CGI (It just looks really bad in some scenes and others good)
-4 Plot Macguffin & Antagonist (Just seems real weak the Enclave had access to this and the Scientist just randomly decides to inject it into himself before betraying the Enclave, also keeping it inside his neck? Just seemed convoluted and the NCR Remnants should have packed a lot more fire power for defending something that would change the wastes. She had a cult with like tons of dedicated Shady Sands survivors overall poor planning on the supposed antagonist)
-2 turning the NCR into a bunch of warring states in the middle of a civil war.

+3 Points for acting (All the protagonists were interesting and had flaws no Mary Sue shenanigans)
+3 for action scenes (They were all good, power armor felt strong but bulky as it should be)
+3 for costume design
+2 for wacky humor (Self explanatory)
+2 for environmental story telling (The Vault residents killing themselves, the scars on the raiders, the skeletons of the family that poisoned themselves)
+4 For having the Enclave still exist
+2 nuking the capital of the NCR at least explaining how they fell so bad, it's a plausible explanation considering nukes are very common so a Vault Text employee managing to smuggle one? Yeah that'll work.

I may watch it cause the Enclave exist.

Favorite faction.

Also, no fall out made it seem like America was a horrible place to live pre war.
Plenty of ghouls enjoyed thier lives pre war.

Anyway there's a chance for the NCR to rebuild if they can retake the cold fusion facility but I doubt it. Seems like the Brotherhood of Steel will be the future of America unless the Brotherhood Protagonist takes over.

100 percent the BoS and the NCR, West VS East I what is bound to happen in canon in general

Guys, something to consider about WHY it is a crapsack world. There is a canon faction that hates humanity and loves to experiment on us. Plus they may have caused the great war itself. They are still around and can mess with peoples heads.

So odds the Zetans are helping to fuck things over?

The season finale suggests Vault Tech provoked the bombs into going off by guaranteeing a nuclear strike not the Zetans.

So yeah chalk one up on the scoreboard for Vault Tech being stupidly evil.
They're up their with Weyland Yutani and ONI maybe even worse.

Also interesting thing so T-60 power armor is bullet proof unless you hit a VERY small weak spot on the chest armor with an armor piercing round.

So Power armor is canonically bulletproof unless you're both

A armor piercing round and have the precision to target a tiny spot in the armor with the same armor piercing bullet.

Damnit! Well I guess it makes sense that the bomb in Megaton may have a Vault Tech symbol on it.

The most tragic part was that it was the idea pushed by the wife of the protagonist, if he had known sooner what she was intending to do he could have bought America more time but his wife accelerated the threat of nuclear annihilation.

What caliber rifle? Where is the location? Need more then "They show this very special spot"
Because a 5 56 AP round is still weaker then a 50 BMG

Unknown caliber he uses a custom revolver

His regular rounds consistently launched full grown adults into the air a blew holes this big (So it's at least comparable are not too far from anti material rounds)

He also mag dumped with a lever action rifle (10mm rounds at least) which the power Armor no sold.

We also see NCR Troopers trying and failing to kill power armored troopers with the RPD Machinegun (7.62 caliber) and all calibers and feats presented were getting no sold by the power armor.

Even with head shots the mentioned calibers weren't scratching the paint job of the armor, the Ghoul character switched to an armor piercing bullet for his super pistol and expositioned that because he wore the armor before he knows of a weak spot that he could aim at.

Then he turned off the lights and was precision killing power armor troopers at an unidentifiable (To the naked eye) weak spot in the chest armor with his armor piercing super revolver.

I haven't seen it yet. So the wife of the ghoul cowboy? Do we see the war?
We only see the nukes in the first episode. Most of the flash backs is just the personal life of the Ghoul.

Speaking of which the Ghoul is probably the most powerful ghoul in the entire Fallout setting. Dude solo's multiple BOS fire teams supported by Knights (at once and again by himself) he did this with mild effort and with no serious injuries.

I mean, could just be Frag or explosive rounds for things like 357 magnum.
No pistol would be more powerful then a 7.62 unless your shooting something like 500 win mag or the like.
Which if he is...is not very good for power armor to defeat.

For instance, I will get the video later, a 4 Guage shot gun obliterates a human head via ballistics gell dummy.
So. 500 win mag would be the closest to that kinds pistol.

Edit: after close look, that is a stupid looking revolver and makes no sense. The barrel look to be decently sized, could honestly be similar to a Taurus judge taking shotgun rounds eith it being a 4 barrel.
500 might be to small, maybe some sort of shotgun Guage by the look of it.
So possible, but that would mean it had absolutely horrendous oenerration values

That is definitely true, but it has been a somewhat known thing that Vaulttech had some part to play

A clear retcon to try and sell the show in China, because the entire rest of the lore heavily implies it was the CCP who screwed over mankind.
It's not a retcon, Vault Tech just sabotaged the peace agreements and any de escalation.

China still canonically launched the nukes

IIRC some of the canned Fallout games (the original 3?) had it revealed Vaulttech kicked off the war on purpose because they were going all Institute/Movie Umbrella.
