Books Favorite Fantasy Series Recommendations

I preferred the Polgara book to the Belgarath one. Part of the Polgara one details her time with the Wacite Arends which is mentioned a fair few times previously.

I myself have read and really enjoyed "The Blade Itself" of the First Law trilogy, written by the mighty Joe Abercrombie. This is a fantasy world populated nearly entirely by arseholes (more than a few of them are semi-evil), and you will love them. My favourite fucking character is actually a crippled Inquisitor of all people.
Apart from the original trilogy, the stand alone novels ''Best Served Cold'' and ''Heroes'' are also worth a read despite acute lack of Glokta, while ''Red Country'' can be skipped.

More-Or-Less the first European comic I read which I realised was from Europe

Another series of books I liked was the Raymond E Feist Midkemia books that started with the trilogy of Magician, Silverthorn and A Darkness at Sethanon. There were further books in the worlds that were stand alone like Prince of the Blood and Kings Buccaneer which retained their enjoyment. Later on was the Serpentwar books which I quite enjoyed. However, an issue with the later books was there was no firm timeline showing their place in the chronology. A timeline like in the Star Wars novels would have been useful, especially as in Royal houses some character names get reused.

The spin off Kelewan series co authored with Janny Wurts, Daughter of the Empire, Servant of the Empire and Mistress of the Empire were very enjoyable as they had a very different setting to the more 'normal' western style medieval fantasy setting of Midkemia.
