Boulder City confirms Hoover Dam 'isolated fire' is extinguished

The 'isolated fire' as per Doug Hendrix with Reclamation at the Hoover Dam has been extinguished, according to a tweet from the official Boulder City account

It does look like it - transformer fires always begin with an explosion, just like the on the above videos.

Yeah definitely a substation transformer explosion. All that smoke is from the oil tank holding mineral oil pouring onto the fire. Don't worry it ain't toxic
