One day the ROB shows up at your home with a task. Your job is to pick one and only one Protagonist from a Scifi or Fantasy universe to get 3 Terminators as Body Guards for life. Here are the models

T-800: Looks like Arnold from Terminator 2. Comes with 12 gauge shotgun, Laser Rifle and summonable Minigun.

T-1,000: Looks like the one in Terminator 2. Can look like anyone you want it to.

The Cameron Terminator: Looks like Summer Glau. Comes with 2 1911 45 ACP pistols and 10 grenades

These Terminators will be completely loyal to both their target Protagonist and their close friends and family. They will put themselves in harms way to prevent all immediate threats to their charge. They will also assist in whatever mission the Main Protagonist is on. For your efforts the ROB will give you a Star Trek Replicator for your home. So who do you chose for Terminator Protection?

I will choose this guy.

Hmm, my first thought here was to have them escort Frodo to Mount Doom. But can I be sure Terminators are immune to the ring's corruptive influence? And after all, Frodo succeeds so does he need somebody mowing down thousands of orcs with a minigun? Does it diminish Sam's contributions if the T-1000 tears through Shelob from the inside?

So really why not send the Terminators to help somebody who loses, somebody who doesn't actually stand a chance, and now gets one?

Julia, from 1984. The Terminators are going to take apart The Party one commie at a time.

Or better yet, avert the baddest of ends. Send the Terminators to protect a Taimanin.

1)Jim Kirk, cause it will be fun to watch him add Cameron to his harem.

2) The protagonist from Redo of Healer.

3) Londo Mollari before he got infected with the Drakh parasite.

4) The main protagonist from The Strain.

5) John Christian Falkenberg.

Or better yet, avert the baddest of ends. Send the Terminators to protect a Taimanin.

Lol, didn't think you would be a fan of that series of all things. :sneaky:

This though will be dependent on what canon you use for their abilities, since in AT they are a hell of a lot more powerful than they appear in the Anime/VNs.

Guess I can do you one better and send them to guard the MC from Starless.

I'm very much not a fan, couldn't even remember what the characters' names were, hence "A Taimanin." But the horrific things that happen to them are hard to forget. Even after several attempts and lots of alcohol...

Baah, the series is tame when you compare it to stuff by Empress and games like Euphoria and Bible Black.

Oh Lawd all the Rambo movies now have an even higher kill count lol.

I just want John Rambo to give T-800 the ol "You can't go around killing people speech," after he excessively murders half of the corrupt Sheriffs Department whilst they're torturing John. The sheer hypocrisy or irony of the conversation would be delightful.

And if T-800 is particularly vicious, he can continually ask for permission to kill people in the sequels. :p

Plus you'll get to see 80's Stallone and Ahh-Nuld on screen together!

I thought we were sticking to SF&F?

In thst case, give the guards to:

Those dumb tourist girls from Taken.

One random kid from the movie Salo, or the 120 days of Sodom.

Haven't seen The sound of freedom, but I guess insert it there, too.

A billion tormented anime protagonists.

Grudge, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, SAW.

All the main characters from the Predator movies.

John Crichton from Farscape.

He also can fight the Terminator in Mortal Kombat.

As well as Robocop.

And Spawn and Joker...

Terminator and Robocop teaming up would be neat too.
I have that comic actually, although it turns out in the crossover that Robocop's circuitry and software was partially used to build Skynet so the Terminators think of him as their father.

With settings like Star Wars and Babylon 5 I can't help but feel that the traditional Terminators would still be formidable fighting machines but also far more vulnerable to the more powerful weapons, often energy weapons, utilized in those settings and that are pretty commonplace.

1)Jim Kirk, cause it will be fun to watch him add Cameron to his harem.

Not sure Kirk's view on hebephilia but John Connor was sixteen in that show and Cameron was designed to portray a sixteen year old as well.

Whaatt...?!?!
I used to do a blog reviewing obscure and terrible comics, with crossovers like that being my bread and butter. Robocop vs. Terminator was actually rather good for the genre, beat the heck out of Avengelyn.

Robocop_VS_Terminator.jpg

From the Wiki Synopsis...

As Skynet's machines exterminate the last of humanity, human soldier Florence "Flo" Langer infiltrates their systems and learns Skynet first became self-aware through contact with the cyborg RoboCop, using his human consciousness and ability to interface with machines to gain sentience and spark the nuclear war that leads to Skynet seizing control over Earth. Flo travels back in time to Detroit and kills RoboCop before he can awaken Skynet, which in this story is an orbital defense system, defeating the machines in the future. To prevent their downfall, the machines send three terminators to protect RoboCop...

Yeah, it was literally almost exactly this vs. Debate, just adjusted to integrate RoboCop into the Terminator timeline instead of using ROB.
