Did Mithradaties ever stand a chance of beating the Romans at least out of Anatolia and would his success have led to Pontus dominating Anatolia? Beyond that, were there other chances for Pontus to rise and what effect would it have on history if the Pontics controlled Anatolia rather than the Turks?

Do not think so.Romans were still capable of loosing armies and winning war,like against Carhage.
When for Pontus one lost battle mean end.
