Resolved Is double posting infractable?

I know I've asked that in another thread, but I'm also asking here for the benefit of others who might be interested in the answer.

So, is double posting considered an infractable offense (like it is on SB)? I didn't see anything about it in the rules.

If it raises to the point of being harassment and/or becomes truly egregious, yes. Otherwise no,

It is generally a "Please don't" offense.

Something I wanted to do on SB but never got a Round Tooit - start a thread about something, and then post updates on the subject, whether or not anyone else had replied in-between.

You absolutely have the right to do that. I assure you that as long as both posts are different in content (addressing different people, or addressing materially different subjects), and have some kind of meaningful contribution, that is not something you will be punished for. We are not here to play petty games over trivial matters, and the double-posting issue is, to me at least, something of that sort.
