Writers Blocked Douchebag
Arrogance is something that's supposed to come off from guys who won't stop bragging about their greatness or skills and abilities or overestimate it, or think that it gives them rights to do whatever they want or be douchebags usually, I think, more-or-less.
Thing is, I think for plenty of "arrogant" people, they are also very unhappy people as there exist people IRL who know deep down that they don't have anything or much going for them or are losing things like beauty or physiques or actual talent, if they had any of that to begin with
Knowing that you're really a douche or a heavily flawed person or actually look ugly or lack talent, can be things that instead of motivating them to at least try bettering themselves or fully acknowledging and accepting things, may instead try making them give themselves an ego boost by taking down other people or entering some new fad based around getting Twitter Likes or being told you're in on something for the wider future or something similar
People double-down. I believe that you need to stop living with delusions of superiority or importance and just really look for what really brings joy and/or purpose to your life. Better to be a shameless loser who's seen as a weirdo for being a fan of 2D girls than it is to be a fanatic with delusions of righteousness and grandeur
