McAuliffe makes a boo-boo, might see him DQed from Governors race

So apparently Terry McAuliffe, the Democrats pick for Governor of Virginia, forgot to sign his name on his Declaration of Candidacy form. Or maybe he signed it in invisible ink, because two witness signatures are on the form but not McAuliffe's.

Per VA law and election regulations, failure to properly fill out that form makes you an invalid candidate and your name isn't allowed on the ballot.

By the plain language of the law and regulations, this should see McAuliffe disqualified from the race but personally I'm doubtful. The courts will probably find someway to ignore/overlook/rewrite the law so that he is allowed on the ballot.
