Oh look, chain-mail wired to a metal strap around a shoe, my multi-ton transmitter and its even heavier electrical generator are now completely useless.

If the OpFor now have to all be wearing makeshift Faraday cages, which cost money, add weight, etc etc just in case you might bring one of those generators to the party, that's hardly useless.

I remember years ago watching Modern Marvels (I think? might have been a different show) where they demonstrated a car/truck mounted dish that was to be used for riot control, as when directed at people it heated up the water inside their skin giving them an extreme irritating sensation and causing them to react by moving out of the beam. Is this the same thing?

Yes it's likely a similar thing. Another article goes into detail on it.

I read once about german prototype super weapon during WW2 which did the same - but guy who wrote about it,Igor Witkowski,is from 7 tears preaching about good aliens coming to save World from american way of life and Poland from Holy Mother - so i dunno about how true it was.

They were researching it, like many other theoretical weapons, but never came to prototype stage, because there was no technology for it to happen. Funnily, this is how British development of radar started. There was also lot of propaganda before and during the war.

The Germans also did research into sonic weapons and railguns for AA purposes, but nothing came of it.

Instant curry for the win. Now also in remote variant. (Batteries not included, some assembly may be required.)

I'm not surprised about using it for curry, we already have lasers being used for cleaning off things like rust

I am thinking of people with exploded ear drums or flesh and bone that can be cut with a plastic knife
