This is an attack sub, not a boomer, so no ICBMs. Not even cruise missiles with nuclear warheads.


The crew have no means of communication with RN (or MN, for that matter) vessels, besides surfacing (which has suicide writen all over it) and waving flags/blinking Morse code at them - if they are equipped with such Stone Age devices, that is ...
Would the crew massacre the Royal Navy and then start talking? Let events happen like in OTL and then join France?
But which? Free France? Tr00 France?

If you wish to go wild, you can have the Suffren be testosterone-free. It is built with female friendly facilties and you can have it experimentally crewed by women only.

They have 20 torpedoes/mines/missiles ? then,they could not sunk entire british fleet - but enough to stop bombrdment.
Unless their torpedoes could explode under keel - then,one could sunk battleship.
 
Yes, modern torpedos are one shot=one kill.
If the Suffren fights then the RN can wave bye-bye to three battleships, the carrier and two light cruisers. Although those last two might not be worth killing.

Thanks! would be more interesting,if it was submarine with nukes - then,after destroing british fleet with torpedoes,they could nuke both Berlin and Moscov.
And suggest nicely to germans to surrender,and welcome french as new master race !

P.S to be sure,that they do not get rivals,they could nuke Washington,too.Just in case !
 
ISOTing boomers is OP.
A single Le Triomphant class vessel ends WWII almost immediatelly.

Given that the modern 5th or whichever French republic has a rather powerful personality cult towards De Gaulle, I think that the crew and skipper will likely side with the Free French.

Perhaps they will try and persuade Darlan to change sides, if that thing has nukes and they can launch em kiss Berlin and several other major industrial cities in Germany bye-bye.

But I doubt they will stay put and let french ships get torpedoed by the British.
