If you aren't familiar Dick Masterson setup a basic payment processor and alternative to Patreon called New Project 2. Just recently it was fully black listed by all the banks and can no longer process credit cards so it is being shut down.

We are apparently all slaves to Master Card. Ironic.

Average people will become, "A Goethe, an Aristotle, or a Marx", moving mountains and changing rivers.

Man will attain full mastery of himself and reach the height and further of his dreams and imagination. Socialism is to the stars.

Obviously-this proved to be resoundingly false. But its a positive dream.

It’s civilizational really. We’re a civilization that is rotting away.

For all that I disagree with the level you take the doom and gloom to, I absolutely agree about this.

Like every other great civilization in history, we are in the process of collapsing under the weight of our own prosperity and success. Moral decay is the path of least resistance once your civilizational infrastructure is strong enough that people won't starve in the streets shortly after the rot sets in, and fighting that as long as possible is a fundamental part of the human condition.

It's won or lost in degrees by each successive generation, and we're currently bearing the ultimate fruit of the 60's cultural revolution and rejection of God. We're at the part of the fight where we see if that ideology will reign supreme, or if the mask came off too soon, and see if enough people will reject the ugly face of rot and totalitarianism now that it's easier to see for what it is.

The answer to that is very much in doubt.

that's the frustrating thing about the modern extreme left, instead of learning from the repeated disasters of socialism and trying some thing new they either double down on a policy that has known bad effects for everyone or throw an existensial temper tantrum because the real world wont go their way.
