This year is Taiwanese elections. With the current pro independent party the DPP trying to retain its power over the more pro China KMT and TPP.

Can the pro independent party hold?

Had KMT and TPP fielded a joint ticket, they'd had won?

I've been so conditioned by the system used in e.g. Poland and France, that a 40:35:25 result made me gasp - "There is a winner already? No play off?"

From what a Taiwanese guy on r/ncd tells me, most likely.

Cohabitacion. Once again :p
The thing is is that TPP is populist and are basically wanting in the end to play both the US and China to be successful country.

DPP has been the party shouting invasion is soon
