Everything looks right so far. Although when we get a darker color scheme the white background of my Republic avatar will stand-out, might need to change it. Or go back to that Starfleet one. Or maybe I'll pick the Green Lantern insignia this time...

Y'know, I'm so used to swatting spambots on SFDebris forums that when I read this line, my first response mentally was "Great, our first spambot".

But really what is the difference between the many posters and a spambot though? They both spew out long strings of text without understanding what they are saying.

And maybe, I should have put more content into that post, such as why I thought it is a great idea. And I can give one reason, that it can be hard to actually see from your end if an avatar is really good, or if a signature is, or even if they work together.

I liked your old sig better, way sexier.
Given his user name and the context, it's quite fitting and very poignant. Especially given the situation that brought this forum to existence. I have a couple quotes in my sig that I think makes clear my own feelings.

Oh, found a different Republic firebird logo. Looks better on the dark color.
To explain.

In the waning days of the colonization of ch'Rihan (what would be best known as Romulus) a new ruler rose to power based on her charisma and ruthlessness. In her hubris she stormed into the council chambers of the colonies (it was not yet the Romulan Senate) with her thugs and took a seat for herself basically at gunpoint. S'task, the philosophical founder of the Rihannsu (Romulans) and the one who ended up leading the fleet from their old homeworld to their new, simply stood and moved to leave.

The new tyrant stood and said: "I did not give you leave to go."

S'task turned to her, an ancient old man, and replied: "I have no need to ask it, of you especially."

The tyrant stated: "I shall kill you if you do not ask leave!"

S'task then turned to her, scorn in his eyes and voice and stated coldly: "You may do so. That is the prerogative of force. But I give no honor to force. Power, yes. But you have no power, none that I recognize. I ask no leave of you. " And with that, he walked from the chambers and none stopped him.

I think today we are all Rihannsu, we are all The Declared, for on this day we have taken that great journey of making ourselves outcasts for the sake of our beliefs. Hail S'task! It is a beautiful metaphor for what we have done and what we will wrought.
