Bright walls of light reach into the sky and block entire provinces and nations from the rest of the world. Those outside desperately try to help those trapped, while those inside want to be free. When the walls of light vanish, those who were once trapped find themselves thrown through time and space, to a world not their own. A world where history diverged significantly from their own. In this new world, the German Empire won the First World War, humiliating the Triple Entente in 1914, and exacting even more humiliating concessions from them.

The year is 1920, 6 years after what was known as The War of 1914, came to an end. The Russian Empire is in the midst of civil war, the French Empire is near collapse from internal strife, and Germany is the most powerful nation on Earth. In this world, Germany was setting its sights on the United States, and prepared to invade it. But before their plans could be realized, "The Event" tossed a number of nations into this world, replacing the lands occupied by the previous inhabitants, and throwing the world into even further turmoil as a result.
