Philosophy The Poison of Subjectivism by C.S. Lewis Doodle

They are philosophically descended from that same propagandists that made people believe that the Galileo affair was about the faith vs science rather than the church pulling a gotcha on Galileo's bad science because he was being an ass.

Even Adam Connouver points out that he was a church employee

Hollywood Communists really forgets lie about how surprisingly intellectual and scholarly Priests or religious people are responsible for both the scientific and philosophical bedrock of the west.

Friendly reminder that both Evolution (by happenstance) and the Big Bang (for a more obvious reason) were rejected at various points for being "too catholic".

Was it by Protestants?
Protestants rallied together to fight the theory of evolution, in major part, because the Catholic Church had previously said it was acceptable.

If I recall it was edgy atheists who first scoffed at the idea of the big bang because it was devised by a priest, and their reaction was "Oh, yeah, everything came from one thing, like your fake GOD? HUH?"

Hollywood Communists have really succeeded in making people believe a history without examples that is easily disproven by still recorded and unedited history

I always liked this particular quote:

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.” CS Lewis

Seems almost... prescient, seeing as society is being "cured" of all the various pseudo -isms and -phobias...

I have a particular love for this quote too, need to memorize it, since I reference it all the time. There is timeless truth to that. I can think of many examples, I'd just need time to remember them and commit them to text.

“Cultural Relativism” I think is something to be dismantled ASAP
