So has anyone played the first one. Ornis looking forward to the sequel? For those unfamiliar think cyverpunk Dark Souls. You can chop off limbs of enemies to get weapons and blueprints for your exoskeleton rig.

I've got the first one, will probably grab 2 when it's on sales. And I wouldn't call it "cyberpunk dark souls", not really. Both because it's not really cyberpunk (there's a different between cyberpunk and generic corporate dystopia), and because the dark souls element of it is "it's hard and death means basically nothing", which is true but also undersell it. It's more relevant to say it's focused around repeated duels, while Souls had lots of enemies that are individually not dangerous but pose a threat only if you get sloppy, or as a an a general obstacle to slowly attrite through your supply of estus.
I liked The Surge, even if it was a bit short, DLCs included. I wonder which ending is canon for Part 2.
The surge is on sale on steam for about 75%, if anyone here is interested.
