Thoughts on the idea of a North American Union along the lines of the European Union?

So, what if Alberta wants out of Canada, and into the US? I mean given Trudeau's tyranny, I'd be inclined to welcome them in. Things aren't great here, but Montana and the Dakota's haven't gone insane, so they'd be with sane neighbors.

If any other Canadain states want out, and want to join us...more the merrier.

Only problem with this is that Alberta leaving Canada and joining the US would only be good as long as Biden isn't in the Oval Office, or Albertans would feel like they've jumped from being ruled by Trudeau to being ruled by an older, worst version of his father.

Correction: An older, worse, Irish version of his father. ;)

When the US constitution was written the United States was conceived as a Federation of independent, sovereign entities. We've made hash of that over the years, mostly since the depression. We don't need to gum up the works by adding a new layer of States.

Yeah we need to let states do their own thing a bit more there has been way too much centeralization of power for my tastes.
