And it will be Starring Neve Campbell presumably.

Twisted Metal, if you are unaware, was a delightful car combat game first released in the 90's and throughout the 2000's featuring a colorful array of vehicles and drivers that engaged in Battle with each other across multiple maps. Along with demolition derby style combat with machine guns, missiles, land mines and vehicles ranging from tanks, ice ream trucks, parking patrol vehicles and construction tractors, the game was known for its trademark dark humor, including in the almost universal 'downer' endings for every character if they did succeed in winning the 'Twisted Metal' Tournament whose ultimate prize is a fulfillment of reality warping level wish.

It's most famous character likely isn't the host of the Twisted Metal tournament Calypso, who rules a dystopian post-apocalyptic world and grants said wishes, but it actually the Clown with a Cult Following known as Sweet Tooth.

Deadline said:
From Cobra Kai writer Michael Jonathan Smith and based on an original take by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Twisted Metal is a half-hour action-comedy about a motor-mouthed outsider (Mackie) offered a chance at a better life — but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a postapocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a trigger-happy car thief (Beatriz), he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all-too-familiar ice cream truck.

Half hour episodes huh?

Delivering a mysterious package?

Yet it's also starring a semi-decent cast including Thomas Haden Church, Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz.

Why am I telling you all of this? Will any of it even be in the television series? Who the hell knows?

Oh a sneak peek of the new Twisted Metal TV show has been released.

Looks pretty balls.

Should've stopped at the Teaser I guess.

Sorry Anthony Mackie.

I don't have Peacock on Dish.

Shockingly, Twisted Metal doesn't apparently completely suck ass. In fact... opinions are at best... or worst... mixed.

Tactical Bacon Productions is a YouTube channel that I've followed for a fair bit, in part because he does a lot of Twisted Metal lore videos. Yes it has lore... and yes I was looking for Twisted Metal lore videos at one point in my life for some reason... But anyways, it seems like he too had a 'mixed bag' of an opinion on the show.

He said it was schlocky which he appreciated but a fair bit of the humor was overbearing and didn't land and that could go one for an entire scene. However the dramatic parts were apparently pretty good in drawing him into the show and hit the mark oftentimes.

Some of the characters were interesting and some of them drew off of the Twisted Metal lore, while others not so much. Stephanie Beatriz' OC character apparently was pretty good and compelling while Anthony Mackie was decent but basically a 'blank slate' type of character (which makes sense considering he's an Amnesiac named John Doe.) Most of the acting is actually passable at worst with Samoa Joe apparently knocking it out of the park as Sweet Tooth, the iconic Clown villain of the Twisted Metal series.

He says that while it's not some sort of high art, it did remind him of The Last of Us television series.

And apparently the final car brawl really made him smile ear to ear.
