Crossover Ultramar in Mass Effect.

Assume that Ultramar in 41st millenium with 500 planets and 15 trillion people and thousands of warships is transported to ME era and Ultramar is lead by Roboute Guilliman and he has billions if Imperial Guard and a quarter million Ultramarines. Assume Ultramar is transported to ME-verse around the time of First Contact War.

How will this change the timeline?

I could easily picture a remembrancer writing down a chapter of the transportation of the Realm of Ultramar to the far, far past and eradicating several minor xeno species of no real real worth or note before happening upon humanity as it barely manages to take it's first steps into exploring space, forcibly taking it and it's colonies under it's wing and fortifying the shit out of Terra. There'd be a slightly more well described chapter on the war with the Reapers and then detailing how the Imperium of Man spreads throughout the galaxy.

I once read a fic called Shepherd of Humanity, where Shepard was a Primarch and it turned out the Mass Effect galaxy was in the same WH30K one

Part of the reason the Citadel Council is really afraid of humanity getting a seat is the fact that the human race is spread across MANY worlds, some even in places that should be completely inhabitble and were thought to be gas giants

One was even thought that if ever entered into the galactic economy, would be the center due to an extreme production output

But then again they’re not gonna be trading with Xenos

Ultramar would likely be extremely powerful, to the point it could be a hyperpower in the known Mass Effect galaxy right?

Mass Effect Codex said:
Since then, the Alliance has continued its expansion, with the resource wealth of a dozen settled colonies and hundreds of industrial outposts flowing back to Earth.

And the Systems Alliance is almost a first tier power in the galaxy.

I can't help but feel it might be more interesting if it was something like Interex or something transported to a different galaxy. Kinda like a Xeno-neutral and Chaos-antipathic alternative Imperium. :p

Because you can only get so much thematic fuel from Xeno genocide. :p

I'm not sure 15 trillion people is actually enough for ultramar, the realm has multiple hive worlds with it that can easily hold that many or more people per planet, so they're actually going to be significantly under-populated per the norm.

It would also make sense to, instead of bloating the 41st millennium era ultramarines to a massive degree, to just have there be two or three hundred ultramarine descended chapters in the area (which might already be the case, I'm not sure exactly where all the ultra's successors are but a bunch of them took stewardship over parts of the former realm of ultramar).

As for changes to the timeline, Ultramar takes over the galaxy without any substantial effort, creates the IOM 2.0, but with more of an orginal flavor Rome theme than the quasi HRE thing the Imperium does.

Won’t be much use for all those military forces they got after awhile

How much of all their time and money would still be going over to genetically enhanced power armored supersoldiers who don’t have dangerous and large numbered foes to be deemed appropriate

Now that Mass Effect Remastered has been released for some time now I can confidently say that the outcome hasn't changed at all, but will look even better on next generation consoles, widescreen computer monitors and 4K Definition Televisions.

Indeed. They are so overpowered compared to Mass Effect, that battles would be as funny as watching average street thug fighting average street mouse.

Made it one planet only with 1000 Astartes ,IG,and, let say,20 spaceships, and it would be interesting scenario.
Anything bigger lead to cumperstomp.

P.S Merry Christmas !

This is like putting a newborn baby in a cage match with Pitbullius Rabidus Maximus, Devourer of Faces and Shredder of Children.

Mass Effect is a pretty lightweight SciFi setting. The full Five Hundred Worlds of Ultramar and 30k level Ultramarines is overkill in the extreme.

It’d make more sense to only have one of the hive worlds of Ultramar and one or two successor chapters with their full fleet elements. Maybe have a couple of Imperial Guard regiments as well and one or two squadrons of Imperial Navy.

That is also probably overkill, but it’s a little more fair.
