Unmanned 'spy vessel' washes up in Scotland

This unmanned surface vessel isn't British but it is, apparently, being operated in British waters.

It's been identified as a 'Boeing Wave Rider' which is a watercraft primarily used to provide underwater acoustic surveillance. No one however has claimed ownership of the strange vessel yet since it washed ashore in Scotland.

Most likely it's one used by the North Sea oil and gas industry, they make use of them to monitor the undersea pipelines and such (in fact, the North Sea rigs are the biggest customers for Wave Rider).
