Warhammer Warhammer General discussion thread: Now with 100% more Space Marines

Two great videos from Arch:

Huron Blackheart and the rise of the Red Corsairs:

The Bad Moons, aka the Ork banking establishment/Overseas Chinese 😂 :

:devilish:

Anyone seen stuff by a youtuber called The Remembrancer:

The presentation isn't bad, but I am a huge Iron Warriors fan, so I am biased in favor of anything that involves them.

Are there ever any cases of a Space Marine chapter deploying only a single squad and said squad turning the tide of war for the Imperial Guard forces they're aiding in theatre of war they're in?

Closest thing I can think of is Uriel Ventris and sergeant Lysane's various escapades, if you count them as a 2-man squad, of course.
But they usually had allies.

Maybe classify the whole thing from Space Marines.
A total of what. 5 Marines seen total

Isn't that more or less a Raven Guard modus operandi? With deployment of company or even more being rather rare?

So... sorry if I'm starting to beat a dead horse, but any thoughts or further news on Vashtorr?

Personally, I think it's a pretty cool concept, and that having him start as a daemonic overlord who's not yet a full Chaos God is original without being a terribly abrupt break from Chaos as it's been presented so far, four main Dark Gods (as well as a few minor deities) and all that. It is, however, something of a "roadblock" for a fanfic outline I drafted a while back, though given that I was late to the party, I guess I reap what I sew there.
I unironically prefer your Warp Omnissiah idea, if only because I think a benevolent-ish chaos god whose cult is already heavily intertwined with the Imperium to the degree that its removal would collapse both organizations is a lot more interesting than what we got. Also, anyone else strongly suspect Vashtorr's model was originally intended as daemon prince Perturabo?

She is a Dark Eldar, of course she is a psycho

She is 100% loyal to herself

How would you like you organs done?
It says Dark Elder, not Drukhari.

Do I assumed it is a generic dark elf.

:)

In any case I would be fine of she is from the love can bloom continuity.

Can Space Marines turn off the organ that allows them to absord memories of things they eat? I couldn't imagine enjoying eating a beef steak anymore if the last moments of horror the cow faced as it was slaughtered suddenly wooshed into my mind with emotions the cow felt.

I wouldn't be surprised if everyday meal for Space Marines was vegetarian just so Space Marines could enjoy a meal without getting any flashbacks.

Pretty sure they only get the memories when they eat the brain.

Unicron jokes aside: While I appreciate the praise, I wouldn’t conflate the Machine God as I imagine it (i.e., Deus Machinarum) with Chaos God — at least, as the term is usually used. In fact, since they represent a non-Chaotic force — science, mathematics, and their applications towards engineering and other innovation based on immutable laws of the universe that don’t bend or change like the Warp — I’d say they’d be more of a God of Order alongside the Emperor. Or, at the very least, a Warp God instead of a Ruinous Power straightaway, as not all such deities necessarily have to be Chaotic.

Might be accused of plagiarism if they did it, but I think that if Games Workshop sought to make a more formidable Dark God who personified runaway invention and technological progress for its own sake, modeling them off of Unicron — who’s literally a planet-sized machine deity that devours worlds and spacetime as he traverses reality, and therefore, primo 40K material — wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Even besides that, I can think of at least one other fan take I like better than Vashtorr, such as the one LordLucan introduced in his Warhammer 50K sequel, The Age of Dusk, years before Vashtorr became part of the lore.
