What if no Russian America Company - no Russian Alaska?

To clarify - by "USA annexes most of Mexico" I meant the OTL landgrab, as it constituted maybe 2/3rds? 3//4ths of Mexican territory.
The only effect of "no Russian Alaska" -> hypothetical Colombia River basin in British hands - on Mexico I envision is somebody in Washington equating "big river on map" with "river transport" and thus the mouth of the Colorado (and prolly the California Peninsula) ends up in the USA.

Including the annexation of the disputed parts of Texas, the USA stripped Mexico of just over 52% of its pre-war territory. So technically it was "most of Mexico", but not quite as much as you're thinking. ;)

Possible catholic president would be Republican here, not Democrat. And,if it happen about 1920,he would be normal dude, not some kind of Bush.

Far too early in such a scenario with the greater religious conflict. At this time you could well still have a Jim Crow equivalent for Mexicans across much of the occupied areas.

Such a candidate in this time period might be Republican if your had a more successful Teddy Roosevelt equivalent to drag the party into the role of the party for the common man. Otherwise its probably still the party of big business as during the gilded age. True its probably more favourable for Mexicans as well as blacks but again their unlikely to have much in the way of voting power in ~1920s.
