Read a random story on a soldier being murdered and sold for 'parts' by nefarious peoples who market organs.
So, now come the 'What If' part...
What if this soldier was a man who just got better really fast, but, b/c of his significant ability to heal, many different types of people were able to view him as a suitable donor?
Then this soldier is taken, knocked out, and killed by having all of his organs harvested.
Now, let's say that each significant organ goes to a different individual.
Well, the mutation from this 'donor' results in all these people surviving and developing a similar healthy ability to recover from injury.
Secondly, and much more interesting, is that the genetic code of the original donor begins to overtake all of the different recipients' DNA...rewriting it towards this original form.
Thirdly, in doing so, the original's memories are kept intact along with the recipients memories. Though the donor identity is the major motivator with the recipients memories and skills recallable like Shadowrun's 'skillwires'.
The big questions...How do all these different copies of the enhanced individual go about their lives? What does the 'harvesting industry' think about all of this? Does our mutant volunteer to be harvested so he can take over the world?
Odd opportunity to explore a SI into MANY different kind of personalities all at once.
