Would There Be a Home for Wargaming (be it Board, Computer, or Miniature based) here?

Hi gang,
Bit more old school than most. I still push counters and miniatures for my fun when I am not writing. So, I was wondering, would it be possible for there be a place here for that sort of thing?

Absolutely! Get as many wargamers as possible to join! This is absolutely a safe space (hee!) for anything at all to do with wargaming. Yes, that includes the Wehrmacht/Waffen SS during WW2; that does not count as advocacy or promotion, we are mature enough to understand the difference between wargaming and politics here, you have my word.

It may get a bit pic intensive. Lots of wargamers are gonna wanna show off their armies! 😎

Or their terrain!

Absolutely, as a matter of fact. There go the IC and OOC subforums for various RPG's. No diceroller yet though.

Maybe, I should get into wargamming. Though I am not too keen on sinking that much money into, I already got a money sink, known as Paradox Interactive DLCs.

...My particular favorites are COMMAND: Modern Air/Naval Operations, and The Operational Art Of War IV. C:MANO is probably the best air/sea combat sim out there today (a true successor to Harpoon) , though ground combat is still kinda weak. It's extremely easy to build a scenario for just about anything from 1945 to about 2030, and it's much easier to do so than Harpoon ever had it. TOAW IV enables you to simulate battles from squad size and up from 1776 to the near future. Naval combat is weak (but getting better), and air combat is a tad abstract, but overall a lot of fun. Be advised, however, that TOAW IV is a touch buggy, and for some reason Matrix doesn't really seem to be interested in trying to fix some of them.
