Should I eat more meat and carbs?

This started when my father forced me on his "It's the New Technology!" even if he never clarified who or which scientists specifically said so, to ONLY eat fruits and vegetables and his disgusting annoying obsession with "do you want to eat apple?" and tendency to miss out on me being annoyed by his constant repetition only for him to go on a long speech and life story as to why he likes apples

Point is I've been more-or-less stuck on that "diet" this past year, I've only lost a little weight, I don't really poop as much as I used to and he keeps on obsessing over apples and saying it'd make me poop and such

My body's actually become less likely to use the toilet

And I'm not really allowed much for dinners on average, hell I could only really eat fruits and vegetables for dinner more than half the time

I've been eating way less rice or none at all for my biggest meals, which is lunch and I feel horrible

Before I used to follow the whole "Three Square Meals" thing of eat a lot for breakfast, eat less for lunch, eat the least for dinner

I haven't been able to return to that mode of eating since I was forced to be with my father closer since what happened to my brother

TBF, I'm eating way less for everything so I can finish my meals faster, in part to avoid being near my family who keeps on being so annoyingly overenthusiastic over random shit and talking in such an overenthusiastic and boastful manner it makes me feel sick just being near them

It all really depends on what your goals are. If you want to lose weight and feel satisfied, I'd recommend a low-carb diet. You simply eat a diet rich in meat, dairy, and vegetables and avoid sugary foods and foods rich in carbs like rice, pasta, and bread.

Olive oil on salad with grilled chicken and parmesan cheese is a tasty meal by the way.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Rice is life.

I already eat apples frequently, I think it’s now making me acidic, hell I warned him and yet he still forced it on me, specifically he demands an apple before anything else and then replaced anything else with mostly fruits

And I’m feeling really tired and weak without it, bread doesn’t have similar effect

So, having been here in Korea and noticing something. They often eat A LOT of rice and meat. Of course they have rice for every meal. Thoygh their bodies may deal with it better then mine for instance.

Do you workout? Because if you do i would recommend a carb and meat diet.

I currently only eat once maybe twice a day, usually dinner with a small snack in between or through the morning.

So add meats and carbs to your diet for sure. Though of not working out use less carbs and add in what almost said

Look, meat is pretty much vital...if you aren't going to have access to meat, you need to hit your essential amino acids in other ways so your body can synthesize protein.

You can't live off fruits and vegetables without careful planning. Of course you feel like shit. You're malnutritioned.

Look up vegan foods to mix to get a full amino acid balance.

Quinoa is good on its own.
Rice and beans
Pita and hummus
Pasta and peas
Whole wheat bread and peanut butter

There are more. I will link below. These don't have to be at the same time. Just in the same day.

If this is too complicated, or you just prefer to be more efficient, eat more meat. This stuff is a replacement for meat, but meat is best.

If you want low carb, you NEED THE MEAT. If you don't mind being higher carb, this will be fine. All these foods will give your body what it needs to synthesize a survivable amount of protein, but they're mostly high carb.

It's best to just get good whole proteins from meat. But if you can't get meat, this is what you'll have to do. Because your other option is malnutrition.

Here, read more:

And how old are you? Is there anything stopping you from getting a job so you can buy your own food, and not be forced into malnutrition by your nutritionally braindead parents? You seem to want to get away from them, too. A job will help with that.

I bet you start feeling better after your first meal of protein or complete essential amino acids.

I'd also note that you probably need more fats in your diet. Fat is also a vital nutrient. You're going to feel like shit and have health issues with too little fat as well.

It sounds like you're being force into a vegetarian/vegan diet by people who have NO IDEA how to do it properly.

Also, If you really need cheap and easy to prepare protein and fats, try eggs. One of the cheapest sources of good nutrition you can get.

I kinda ate some regular relatively freshly cooked rice with some meat on the side for dinner

Felt better than before

Admittedly the stuff’s there, I just have to sorta cook it without them around to keep on going on about “new technology” shit and their obsession with some frankly crappy foods....fuck chinese food

As I said before, I mostly ended up only eating leaves, to avoid family.....real risk today almost ended up near my crazy and pretty deluded mom for awhile who thinks Biden’s Catholic and stuff....yeah the last year since what happened to my brother helped sour my relations with family more than usual. I’m an introvert, they are VERY annoying extroverts who keep on bothering me about what I eat and keep going “Hindi kaw matunawan” and other extremely annoying hyper shit repeatedly and I ended up more or less abandoning dinner entirely after a sudden bomboardment once or twice

Up till this day they can’t understand why I don’t eat with them for breakfast, lunch or dinner when I can

Eat more fiber

That’s what I eat a lot of, I don’t feel full

I was even bleeding due to being made to eat red dragonfruit for a few days, luckily they stopped and when I consulted a doctor he told me to push it away from me as much as possible

Can’t do a proper checkup, due to COVID restrictions apparently, I am still hoping to have my brain checked at the very least sometime this year

I gotta be honest, mate, and you'll probably tell me to fuck off for saying this... but your parents are fucking nuts.

You need a healthy balance in your diet: that includes protein, found in meat, fish, et cetera. It's why vegans and vegetarians have to be so careful and take supplements, and why the more ignorant ones often become deathly ill.

Humans are omnivores. We need meat, or protein from a similar source (even then said sources can be inadequate). I'd suggest looking into beans --kidney especially-- for extra protein, or even tofu/vegetarian burgers. For snacks, dry roasted peanuts are fucking delicious and provide a good deal of protein, too.

I know they're nuts, I tell them they are, most of my family even if in the Philippines has TDS and constantly watches CNN even during breakfast and my dad keeps on giving me The Times-Magazines to read and even outside of politics they have a tendency to laugh me off and sort of "criticise" me

Veganism is just one of the things my mother keeps on proposing and my dad loves crap-Chinese-food and keeps on going "IT'S SO GOOD! IT'S SO GOOD! IT'S SO GOOD! IT'S SO GOOD!"(THAT lead to a small mental breakdown from me and perhaps a minor aneurysm, he's never stopped) once and he's the guy who forced me on "intermittent fasting"

I might be losing some weight and it's making me increasingly fatigued, more than I already was last year, I exercise but that doesn't make much a difference

In america this would be grounds for a child abuse case. try to get away from the house, eat a balanced diet, talk to a dietitian when you can. more importantly try to get out on your own. It sounds like your parents are starving you whether they realize it or not.

We still eat meat, they eat rice

But me, TBH I'm partially to blame because I eat less rice to be done eating because odds are they'll drag me into a conversation and I have to hear their shit

My family though keeps on going on and on and on about me being fat and how we have a history of cancer and diabetes on both my mom and dad's side and our dietitian keep on emphasising I have to "lose weight" more than anything else

That said, my body seems to have two problems amongst others. It takes a long while for me to poop in part due to the lack of solids and sometimes I don't poo at all for 2-3 days and it's real small. And I tend to wake up at witching hour because my stomach feels like needing to poop but it will take awhile and no amount of water will change it.

And if water does work, I'm left feeling hungry after pooing.

Eating mostly oats, oatmeal and fruits for breakfast is just making me even hungrier

Eating vegetables makes me feel bloated and hungry

This maybe a carry-over of the earlier months of COVID, let's just say while my family is VERY well-off to say the least, my dad kept going on and on and on and on about how "We eat to live, people will hate us" and as a result because in-part he already put me on intermittent fasting and kept on repeatedly entering my room to "check on me" in part due to what happened to my brother.....I was slowly starving myself....still fat atm

Mate, I'm no expert (obviously), but it sounds like you're (with the unwitting help of your parents) starting to have the beginnings of an eating disorder. Don't go down that road. Seriously.

For God's sake, eat until you're full. If you are literally starving, you can endure your family long enough to eat a whole meal. Failing that, heat up a meal later. I doubt they have the fridge under lock and key.

Finally got around to eating rice and meat, well fish in this case for breakfast

Already feel a lot better, now if only I had a blender that’s not broken so I can have all my fruits and vegetables in me fast
