A confused leftist
The workspace of Varrys and Theo.
The Tomes Emporium:
A two floored stone and wood house. It is a thin house but is beautiful. With a bright red clay tiled roof and beams of dark oak the Emporium is a grand sight. It’s stone base is chiseled with great skill (this took a decade for Varrys to do, cause he ain’t no dwarf) and a wide door with nicely pruned shrubbery.
The first floor consists of the library/museum. With short rows of bookshelves and some small tables to hang around. There is a wide array of topics and genres available to everybody. But the pride and joy of the Emporium was its historical section. Varrys being the main purveyor of this topic cherished that section. Of course nobody wandered into it.
There is also a small section for the ‘museum’ but it’s collection is abysmal. It is usually some interesting rocks and figurines. Near it is a small spiral staircase to the second floor.
In the back of the library though, is a wall with a door to the cellar. It is pretty empty with only some wine barrels.
On the second floor is where Varrys lives. It is just a small study with a large armchair to trance on. There is a stove for cold nights. The walls are covered in notes and sketches. Truly a historian’s life.
That was a tour of the Emporium.
