Commoners Quest- 1000 Wands of World Wrecking Wonder (DnD 5E RPG)

The workspace of Varrys and Theo.

The Tomes Emporium:

A two floored stone and wood house. It is a thin house but is beautiful. With a bright red clay tiled roof and beams of dark oak the Emporium is a grand sight. It’s stone base is chiseled with great skill (this took a decade for Varrys to do, cause he ain’t no dwarf) and a wide door with nicely pruned shrubbery.

The first floor consists of the library/museum. With short rows of bookshelves and some small tables to hang around. There is a wide array of topics and genres available to everybody. But the pride and joy of the Emporium was its historical section. Varrys being the main purveyor of this topic cherished that section. Of course nobody wandered into it.

There is also a small section for the ‘museum’ but it’s collection is abysmal. It is usually some interesting rocks and figurines. Near it is a small spiral staircase to the second floor.

In the back of the library though, is a wall with a door to the cellar. It is pretty empty with only some wine barrels.

On the second floor is where Varrys lives. It is just a small study with a large armchair to trance on. There is a stove for cold nights. The walls are covered in notes and sketches. Truly a historian’s life.

That was a tour of the Emporium.

This is what Varrys would buy but I don’t know which ones he would already have.

IC has been updated. If I got any particular details with the carts or anything wrong let me know. Also about my PBP GM style. While in person I like to play out and allow you all the little details, forum games like this can all to easily get bogged down in the minutiae and spend days just waiting on responses for every tiny thing, which for me tends to kill games. If you give me a plan I will play that out myself with rolls and the like on my own, and allow more action and progress to happen quicker.

Depends on if Varrys would already have it then the two could share. Varrys does some expeditions into the forest to record some wildlife, so some equipment may already be had.

Probably, going to have my character likely take some paper to record with. I know we already have a pot, but I am not sure we'd have enough. Two is definitely though. And likely we need to make sure everyone takes something that we need. I figure everyone would need half a tent. Though to each their own.

@FriedCFour My character drops off a letter for his family with either a kinsman or a friend.

Backpack, bedroll, blanket, clothes, lantern, pot, sack, tent, and waterskin I think Varrys would have already owned. What do you think Fried?

Having personally slept many a night in the woods with nothing but a mat, a sleeping bag, my ruck or camelback for a pillow and a rifle to cuddle, I can assure you tents are unnecessary and imo a liability.

Noted.

Noted, as well then. So do you think the book proposals work?

Wait theres no trail through the forrest? Who are the robbers planning on robbing then?
A deer trail, not a cart one, as far as going into the woods goes I assumed you all meant off the road through the woods itself. These guys are camped a decent walking distance from the actual road they are talking about hitting as highwaymen.

Lanterns are a bit of a luxury imo. The rest is no problem.
Got it he’ll buy one then.
So total is 6 gp 7 sp and 4 cp for my luxury lantern, ten candles, flask, jug, ladder, rope, and tinderbox.

Everything else is with. So Fried do I deduct from my money and add to my equipment?

I say luxury because of the glassware and metal whereas most commoners and even adventurers can do fine with candles and torches for light. And yes you do.

Oh, I haddnt planned on leaving my cart unattended. Wait, if we had to leave the wizard cart, who's got the wands to test?
