the voter fraud thing is not going to go away, nothing is going away.
I’ll believe that when I see it happen. Sorry, I’ve been let down too many times by the DC establishments ability to avoid punishment.
At this point, though, it's very clear that carping on about it is only screwing the GOP. In fact at this point I would honestly bet based on results so far that it might actually help the Democrats do the impossible and hold on in 2022.
Notably Trump was pretty quiet after Newsom won the recall -and it was because Newsom was able to use the threat of "another Trump" as a race between him and Elder rather than a referendum on himself.
"Voter fraud" is not something anyone other than Trump's base seriously believes. It *certainly* isn't flying with the voters that the GOP needs to win over next year if they want to retake control of at least one chamber of Congress.
I doubt it'll result in any serious trials or whatnot, but even so, bringing everything that actually occurred into the daylight is important in and of itself. It means that the general public gets to see just HOW corrupt the Obama Administration actually was and how they and the Clinton campaign *knowingly* participated.
Russia gets to do it with impunity. If one party is allowed to cheat their way to victory then public opinion is worthless.
I think the point is that it's not a winning campaign message. It's fine to go after voter fraud, but if candidates imitate Cato and end every speech with "and also the 2020 election was stolen" it's likely to backfire. That doesn't mean nobody should do anything about it, it just means it doesn't need to be constantly headline material. If one party is allowed to cheat their way to victory then public opinion is worthless.
Russia doesn't need to cheat its elections because Putin makes sure his only visible enemies are complete jokes.Russia gets to do it with impunity.
Anyone who doesn't believe that voter fraud happened at this point is utterly incapable of being "won over". You'd have a better chance of getting farm animals to vote for your side; at least those creatures use what little grey matter they have in their skulls. At this point, though, it's very clear that carping on about it is only screwing the GOP. Unfortunately, it's not something anyone other than certain Republicans believe; and "carping" on about will only screw over the GOP. They need to learn to shut up when it comes to the bad things their political opponents do; otherwise, they'll never appeal to voters.I doubt it'll result in any serious trials or whatnot, but even so, bringing everything that actually occurred into the daylight is important in and of itself. Giving up on any potential voter who doesn't already believe that the true vote totals would have seen Trump reelected is pretty much giving up on elections.Anyone who doesn't believe that voter fraud happened at this point is utterly incapable of being "won over". Oh, never mind, you beat me to it.they've already rigged it so that they will always win when it matters.
Until the voting system itself is fixed, yeah; I have pretty much given up on elections. They're just a waste of time and effort, as things stand; a placebo to keep you docile.Giving up on any potential voter who doesn't already believe that the true vote totals would have seen Trump reelected is pretty much giving up on elections.

This is literally what you sound like; by the way. In case the sarcasm wasn't getting through to you. You're so obsessed with winning elections the "correct" way, as laid out by your opponents, you are utterly incapable of understanding that they've already rigged it so that they will always win when it matters. It's equal parts pathetic and aggravating.

Yet audits are ongoing, and AZ's stuff is coming out soon, so your claims there is no proof are actually premature, because the attempts to find said proof have been ongoing. And you sound like someone who’s so out of touch with reality because the Democrats didn’t win a trifecta outright -in fact if it hadn’t been for Trump constantly making himself the center of attention in the Georgia Senate races and claiming they were rigged (which ended up energizing his opposition and depressing his base) then it wouldn’t have been a sweep.
The electoral system actually does work; the problem is with people like you who refuse to accept that your view of the situation does not match reality. Or that most of the country doesn’t share your views.
Funnily enough, I was at a lectu
Which is my point -most voters want to hear about plans for the future and how a candidate plans to improve things going forward. Never mind the “proof” being so dubious that even Lindsey Graham (hardly someone opposed to Trump) admitted there was nothing to the claims he was asked to investigate.
But my broader point is, whining about the last election is never a winning strategy. We live in the world as it is, not as we wish it to be.
And this is a fundamental misunderstanding of what I’m saying, but whether it’s due to ignorance or obstinacy, you just don’t get it.
It’s not that one can’t complain about irregularities; it’s that you need ironclad proof of wrongdoing. Which Trump never actually had -it’s a mirror image of the Russia collusion claims, actually. Lots of smoke due to all the claims and press coverage and some misrepresentations, but zero actual substance.
And the rules for elections apply to both sides. Lack of faith because nobody wants to admit that their candidate loses because he or she actually sucked and the voters were less than impressed is harder on the ego than being honest.
As it is, I know I’m in the minority here. But I don’t care. I’m more interested in convincing anyone else who wanders by who isn’t already a True Believer. Hopeless task? Maybe. But at least I’m honest about admitting there’s a problem, and that’s the first step in fixing it.
Trying to purge a party of all but hardcore believers never ends well. Blaming future losses on “voter fraud” might be a salve for one’s ego, but it won’t do shit for checking the Democrats’ agenda.

You keep thinking and acting like the 2020 election is completely in the rearview; it's not even close to that.
Not to mention the ironclad proof than has been found thus far is evidence enough to at least justify further investigation; but I've long since given up trying to convince Airedale260 of its existence. No matter how many times it's been shoved in his face every time he claims it doesn't exist (witness testimony, government documents, video recordings, et cetera, et cetera), he just runs away and comes back several weeks to a month later making the same damn baseless claims that are unsupported by the facts. The man has proven himself to be utterly incapable of arguing in good faith; and yet in his mind, it's us who are the "True Believers" who ignore reality, while he is the sole voice of reason.Yet audits are ongoing, and AZ's stuff is coming out soon, so your claims there is no proof are actually premature, because the attempts to find said proof have been ongoing.

The Arizona audit (a third one run by an outfit that's never actually DONE a real audit) was supposedly too explosive to keep quiet, yet the results have been in for months and nobody's said a word. There might be one or two small things, but I doubt it's anything that will actually prove or even strongly indicate the election was thrown to Biden.
