Okay, a while ago Paramont published a new trailer for Sonic, with a new and improved Sonic. One scene in the trailer stuck out for me however:
What the scene shows isn't just the lights going out on the west coast. It's the lights going out on the West coast and middle of the USA, portions of Canada, Mexico, at least the upper part of South America, and who knows what else. This is like setting off several EMPs across two continents.
Just how much damage did Sonic cause there, and how large would the death toll realistically be? What would the USA's military react like? What would the world's nations' responses be?
