"BEEP!"
I managed to make a few posts and saw the like/dislike ratio before it vanished. It was about 4k5 dislikes to about 2k3 likes I think? Pretty much most of the comments I saw were shit talking it and I have to agree. STD and Picard would honestly feel far more at home in the Mirror Universe and if they'd actually been set in the Mirror Universe, I'd dislike them a lot less. Hell, it would be a great point of divergence as I recall Spock telling Kirk in TOS that Starfleet have never court marshalled anyone in it's history and then you have Burnham. It would have been a good example of a single person's actions causing a complete shift in a timeline. Picard is just garbage and CBS even admitted that it was partly written in the way it was to take down Picard which I couldn't even imagine why that would have occurred to anyone at all but it was produced by Alex Kurtzman who loathes Stark Trek.
Lower Decks looks like they're trying to over-correct at warp speed and steal a bit from The Orville in terms of humour. I'm honestly not at all looking forward to it and I'm not even sure if I'll bother watching more than one or two episodes but considering the latest Star Trek TV series and movies, I have absolutely no hope that it'll be a good Star Trek series.
Funny enough the orville actually feels like star trek albiet a less utopion "more realistic yet still optamistic." sort of way. Lower decks just feels like a rick and Morty parody of star trek.
