No, that’s just Fairfax County being Fairfax County. This is entirely normal.

Keep in mind, Loudoun county (next door) split roughly 53/47 for McAuliffe, which is nuts considering it would normally be low 60s for a Democrat.

Also, one guy for the Cook Political Report (Dave Wasserman) has already called it for Youngkin based on the trends.

Again, this goes back to what I’ve argued which is, put grievances aside about how 2020 turned out and focus on the issues that actually matter to voters. Youngkin got a huge boost thanks to McAuliffe accidentally telling the truth about what Democrats think of education and parenting, and he ran with it.

CNN just called it for him a couple minutes ago. Their exit polls also showed a majority (52%) of voters think the Democrats are too liberal* and 84% say parents should have at least some say in education (and they went for Youngkin by 10 points).

*-This in a state that went for Biden by double digits last year.

We'll see; I am hoping that this race is fully above the board.

However, I think this race should be audited as well, just to show that it is not just some partisan move, and that the Right wants to win fairly and is willing to undergo an audit to prove it.

I kinda doubt it will happen, though, because the Dems do not want to give any credit to the audit process after what was found in AZ.
