I'm almost 100% sure that's why I was banned. Specifically, I said that if they were really genuine about wanting to discourage clout-chasing behaviour, they'd only make the likes invisible to the poster while leaving them visible for everyone else.

I think @Agent23 is pretty on point. Things had been trending leftward pretty much right after Obama’s election, but there was still significant right-wing and right of center presence within the site.

It was only around gamergate that things started really veering south. Even then though, plenty of people were willing to have an out and out verbal scrap with leftists on the gaming sub-forum. But that’s around the time that shit really started turning bad in Whitehall and the Non Sci-Fi debates.

Then the Tranatos debacle happened, Mister Burns got booted from the site administration, and the cancer started truly metastasizing.

I think 2016 was where it reached the point of no return. Everything after with the PM Debacle was just the final saga. The end for anyone right of Marx being allowed to have an opinion on SB.

Now it’s all leftists and their “reasonable conservative” lickspittles in the non creative writing parts of the site, and you better keep your opinions to yourself in the creative writing sections if you want to continue having a presence there for some reason.

The cancer hasn’t killed the patient yet, but it’s definitely getting there.

IMO SB became functionally unusable when Trump was running for president, and doubly so after he became president.

The situation only got that bad because other people let the leftoids and liberasts run wild.

Sure, Obama's reetards fanclub played a role, but 3 things made the situation worse:
1) The staff being easy to influence, hugbox pussies.
2) The internet becoming too easy to use thus we all got a huge influx of morons thanks to smartphones and social media.

I didn't really notice much until suddenly "Trap" was a slur. I BSOD'd on that. I've run into people online who called themselves Traps. Proudly, even.


When I pointed that out, I was simply ignored. The decision was made, and a mere peon could do nothing. There wasn't even anybody complaining about being called it, when they did it!




And, whenever I said something Right, I got attacked. Mods would hit me, but not my attackers. I get bannedhammered, they just kept going. And, even if somebody said it was stupid, if I got some backup, so what? The Mods didn't care at all.


The only way to really fight would have been becoming a Mod myself. And, I know myself. I'd make a terrible Mod. That's if they'd have me, and I don't think they'd have let me in.

I had a similar experience... only it was specifically in a thread the mods made to discuss the rule in question.

I was given a warning immediately saying it is not up for discussion.
then a 2 weeks later a different mod gave me a temp ban for the same post that was already punished by another mod.

I decided that I am just done with that site after this. The ban expired, and I am still allowed there. But I have no interest in participating in such a toxic community.

Because I knew with absolute certainty that if I hit post I will be perma banned.

I have been with QQ since 2015, it was a good run. But over the past 2 years or so it has abolished its political neutrality and has taken strong official stances on multiple issues. all on the side all of the woke cult.

Since then I have been routinely degraded by other posters with no recourse. And it has grated on me.
Yesterday it finally hit my line in the sand.

As I sat there momentarily hesitating to make the post. I felt deep inside me that if I do not draw the line in the sand here, if I accept this evil, I would suffer a massive and irrecoverable emasculation.

Parents protested schools grooming their children.
Those parents were violently attacked by militant pride psychos.
MSM is trying to lie and claim that the parents are the attackers.
When Tim Pool commented on it that "they should leave the children alone".
Activition retaliated against him by banning him and removed his custom skin in #callofgroomers.

QQ has yet again taken the woke cult position as an official mod stance on this.
"leave the children alone" is homophobia.
Like so many other issues, so long as you are using woke cult talking points you are exempt from no politics rule.
You will allow groomers access to your children.

This is the final straw for me. I can no longer condone and participate in QQ.
This has been building up for a while in me. But it finally hit the tipping point I could not withstand further.

I will not accept into my heart the evil that is QQ. I am done.

What finally made me quit SV for good was the "duty to report" rule.
