The albertain succession party just won a whole lot of votes, Trudeu only has power due to a coalition of his party and the greens. For albertia the planed policies would mean the total economic destruction of their province.
And succession is legal in Canada.....
Their is a pretty big chance that Albertia will leave because of Trudeu, and once that happens Canada can no longer afford to bribe Quebec into staying.

The odds of Alberta actually leaving are still pretty low, and even if it occurs you are probably looking at a decade down the line after the boomer retirement really starts to bite and the government is faced with either repudiating government benefits for old people (which is political suicide, especially when they are still by and large the political class and still the largest voting bloc) or increasing revenue with fewer workers. The only place for Canada to find the money is Alberta, and doubling Alberta's tax bill (or more) is going to be a much stronger incentive for secession.
