Basically the Noah equivalent of a McKenna before the SLDF refit. Instead of using NAC batteries, it uses N-Gauss batteries as their HNPPC pair. Because shields can be a bitch (and nothing says 'fuck your shields' like a weapon that flings a projectile several hundred kilos at over 500km/s). Also, one of the Gorg's 'sticks' is spamming ASF assets, meaning a hefty anti-fighter armament. Due to the fact that KF drives interfere with shield technology, having as much armor and firepower as possible became a priority. The reasoning for the AMS is simple: the Gorg realized that they couldn't kill Noahan ships fast enough with their energy-only naval armaments alone, so they turned to their somewhat disused torpedo and missile weapons (which usually use antimatter for warheads), meaning some versions of the various ships are loaded to the kills with missile launchers armed with nukes.

The maximum SLDF upgrade of the Noah. 'Why are you throwing so much firepower onto a target?' as a ship. You also might notice that these ships don't have the massive cargo holds BT warships are (in)famous for; that's largely because Noah has gone another direction for their ships. The basic concept is that only specific ship types are fitted with cavernous cargo bays, for their jobs require such bays, while other ships are fitted with the cargo bays they need to keep their equipment and personnel in good supply. Basically, fleet replenishment, planetary invasion, and cargo transport ships have immense cargo holds.

It seems they're primarily concerned about IP rights on a "don't shove it in our faces on platforms we run" basis. Besides, non-profit work, private commissions and derivative content (ie. Battletech-'compatible') are out of their hands anyway.

3D printers are a thing, now a days. And 3SW-Clan Invasion is the most popular era, right?

In a game where the rules haven't really changed in 35 years and explicitly doesn't require minis?

So they're going to go after every grognard and long beard they can, destroying their core audience. And, of course, the new audience they want are too busy being activists and degenerates to play a war game with 'blatantly racist' factions.

And of course, they don't realize or care about that.

I like how CGL is literally seven years behind the curve. I suppose given the fuckery with Shadowrun that this was basically inevitable.
