Yeah, the thing with HBS BTech was that sales-wise it didn't do bad, especially since part of the development was backed by Kickstarter, and it was popular enough to get expansions, but after all the rights holders etc. were paid out the cut simply wasn't big enough to continue working on it. That being said, I can genuinely recommend the Hyades Rim mod for HBS Btech as it basically gives you the sort of story-driven campaign that HBS couldn't. It also makes the base game a lot longer and more challenging.

According to myth and legend back in the ol' days of Spacebattle nerddom there were the Big Three "Star Wars, Star Trek and Babylon 5" and for many moons, there was a campaign called Battletech for the Big Four where Battletech would join those two and a half titans of spacebattles/science fiction media.

So, been playing the Hyades Rim mod for HBS Btech (absolutely recommending it!), and it's rather challenging. There are tons of Flashpoint missions, and since you're stuck with a Leopard for the most part, you really have to plan those out (it's trial and error, really). Next thing I'll do is do a pirate built for an Enforcer, using an AC/20. Gotta put damage on those targets!

Topps has been pushing it hard on it's subsidiaries. They don't do what Topps/Fanatics want, they lose Battletech and Shadowrun license.

It goes back some time, Blaine Lee Pardoe was erased from BT because Topps wanted the issue with tranny psycho go away.

They've been pushing woke stuff since before the Pardoe fiasco. Since I don't play the tabletop and merely enjoy the universe as is I really couldn't care less that they are voluntarily entering the purity death spiral. Nothing good ever came from this. Point in fact: the direction the universe is taking, with their super Clan über alles resurgence.
