As to that 30mm tripod mounted cannon - only now I've noticed that the table gives its ammunition as ADEN/DEFA. AFAIK that is QUITE potent ammo in that calibre (airplane junkies will know more ).
It is that the brRRRT 30mm is in a different league, being a dedicated AT round, and not for air combat or air to ground against softies.
It's a weird-ass semi compatible thing.
The M230 rounds are 30x113mm, which is the same caliber as DEFA cannons and the Mark 4 version of the ADEN, but earlier ADENs chambered a 30x111mm round. However, despite being the same official caliber, the M230 rounds use lighter, thinner alloy cases as opposed to the ADEN's brass cases and the DEFA's steel cases, and therefore cannot necessarily be safely fired by autocannons designed for ADEN or DEFA rounds.
