A 41 year old man in the Eastern city of Zhenjiang was diagnosed with the first case of H10N3 Bird Flu in what is believed to be accidental cross species contamination. He was hospitalized in stable condition and is expected to be discharged shortly. China's National Health Commission stated no one else that came in close contact with him was infected and that the risk of large scale transmission is low and that it is a low pathogenic virus.

I was right there with you; then it turned out that it wasn't quite as dangerous as we first thought. Or at least, not in countries with decent health care systems where everyone's lungs wasn't ravaged by unrestricted air pollution. Heck; I was worried vaccines just plain wouldn't work on it. Thankfully, that wasn't the case.
