The problem is that it takes the issues the west already faces (an elite that can’t be removed and that doesn’t listen) and makes it worse unless it’s done perfectly. And even then, it will eventually become corrupt, because nothing built by humans is perfect.

Also because you better believe that any existing political elites are going to do their damn best to get in that system. Plus, neo-feudalism is what they’re going for as an end point.

All fair points. Maybe an Empire with a strong Populist Faction (not a populist myself, but it could help as a bulwark against a consolidated political and financial elite)

He was. from what I heard he doesn't seem to be badly injured. The attacker was a 15 year old Muslim teenager (though good luck finding any publication that admits it). I'm hearing people say that the attack was done because Birshop Mari 'insulted the Prophet'.
