Crossover Create Your Own Actor/Actress Based Team Challenge

The idea behind this thread is to create a simple enough. Create a somewhat balanced and hopefully practical squad or team of heroes based off of the acting history or filmography of a single actor or actress.

Some guidelines:

> Make it a team of roughly 4 to 8 characters
> Each character should add something different or some versaility/capability. Adding Morgan Freeman (God) twice isn't particularly clever.
> Going off of the previous rule: make sure the characters are distinct. For example 90% of Steven Seagals roles are incredibly similar and could very likely be swapped out without much issue.
> Make sure the characters are somewhat notable (ie don't add Neal McDonough as Thug #3 from Darkman) They need to be characters with some sort of established presence and capability.
> A majority of the characters should be live (or CGI style motion/image capture) action based but you can flesh out the squads/teams with voice acted roles in animated features or video games as well.

Example:

Mary Elizabeth Winstead

1. Mary Todd Lincoln (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter): Team Leader/First Lady.
Despite being out of her time and the fact the historical Mary Tood Lincoln (as best as we know with records as biased as they were from the time) an action heroine, this badass First Lady showed her resolve during the Civil War and the Vampiric menace that helped foment it. Combined with her resolve and obvious Team Mom credentials, she's also a patriot, has a medical background and brained a Vampire Queen with a Spencer Repeater at the end of the film. Total Mama Bear.

2. Ramona Flowers (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World): Fighter/Martial Artist
Not only is she a skilled warrior who has left devastation in her wake, she apparently carries a bag of holding which is hiding a giant hammer. She's also a veteran rollerblader and delivery girl for Amazon.ca... despite being an American. Not rare of course, just an interesting outlier.

3. Dr. Kate Lloyd (The Thing 2011): Scientist
Though a paleontologist by academic background, she has a diverse set of skills that are a nightmare for extraterrestrial gribbly eldritch beings that emerge from the great nether beyond. Able to operate homemade flamethrowers, conjure up alien infiltrator detection methods, and leading snowcat expeditions to crashed starships under the ice and battling awful CGI monstrosities.

4. Dani Zakarweski (Gemini Man): Super Agent/Gun Girl
Veteran DIA agent and investigator whose got enough gun skills to mow down waves of highly trained government assassins and pull deep cover assignments on agents more experienced then herself. Veteran operator, spy and investigator, she could be the tactical brains of the team and a clutch executive leader of the squad.

5. Gwen Grayson/Royal Pain (Sky High): Gearhead/Tech.
A teenaged technopath with other assorted electrical powers, she has a bit of a dark streak but has shown that she's not Chaotic Evil level and well, if it worked for suicide squad, it'll work here. Her shift from supervillain to redemption should help with the whole redemptive story arc in general and create a very compelling narrative.

6. Lucy Gennero McClaine (Die Hard films): Rookie
While she had some interesting scenes in Die Hard 4 it was utterly derailed by the utter and complete crapshoot that was the latest Die Hard movie which focused on the most derivative and lame 'son' character ever in an equally vapid plot. She'll be given the chance to rise up to her families action hero(ine) lineage here.

Sean Connery:

1. Allan Quartermain (League of Extraodinary Gentlemen): Leader/Adventurer
Having adventurer and hunter Allan Quartermain leading this new group of extraodinary gentlemen just naturally makes sense. He's got the whole lifes experience as a hunter and adventurer around the world and experience leading unique and eccentric groups of people as well. Plus despite being surrounded by such admittedly extraordinary people, it was his groundedness that can help provide the core of leadership for this squad.

2. Henry Jones Jr (Indiana Jones films): Archaeologist/Expert
Complimenting Allan Quartermain even more, Henry Jones Jr being a Scottish Professor of Medieval History before the turn of the century, he can serve as the teams expert on all manners of things historical and anthropological and combined with his intellectual drive and sharp wit can prove the brains of this merry band of adventurers.

3, Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez (Highlander films): The Knight
Being a cosmopolitan world trekking immortal expert swordsman on a perpetual quest finding others like him and in pursuit of their ultimate prize, Juan Sanchez Ramirez would be the main fighter of the group since several centuries of martial experience focused on the sword ain't nothing to scoff at. Ironically he'll also have far more experience then even Allan Quartermain but still doesn't quite feel like the leader that Mr. Quartermain could be. But still an invaluable fighter and advisor.

4. Daniel Dravot (The Man Who Would Be King): The Soldier
Like literally every other person on this list, Daniel Dravot traveled the world and went on many adventures, but not as an adventurer but as a Redcoat. An expert soldier, NCO, and naturally gifted leader, the only thing that hid his true qualities for so long was the fact that he was never put in a place to truly discover his talents. And when he did have that freedom, it kinda was in the wrong place. His skills would compliment that of Allan Quartermain with the shooting and survivalism etc and help reinforce the rest of the squad with his iron resolve.

5. Draco (Dragonheart): The Dragon
Every squad, if it can add a fifty foot long, flying, talking, immortal, fire breathing dragon... should add one.

The best part is that all of these people could conceivably participate in some sort of turn of the century period adventure since they all could've reasonable existed and lived at the same time. Though I mean Ramirez would have to avoid getting Kurgan'd as well. Plus I mean the original League of Extraodinary Gentleman movie had Tom Sawyer in it which made absolutely no chronological sense, so... any liberty I take here can easily be excepted. :p

I was thinking King Arthur or King Richard could chug a Holy Grail as well but we already have the eccentric Immortal. Don't wanna push things too far.

Well let's do some Damage with the remarkable Tara Strong.

Twilight Sparkle (MLP) Genius, Magician, Team Mom
Twilight Sparkle is the heavy-hitter for magic on the team. Brings a lot of levitation, and plays the role of genius.

Ben Tennyson (Ben 10) Multi-Role
Ben is highly versatile and can fill in for a number of physical roles depending on what the current threat is, he's practically a team unto himself.

Vizza (Dragons: Rescue Riders) Dragon
What @Husky_Khan said about dragons. Granted Vizza's no Draco but the team still gets a dragon.

Omi (Xiaolin Chronicles) Martial Artist
Kinda technically a badass normal with outstanding martial arts skills. I'm not entirely sold on this and nearly went with Batgirl instead but Ben would go crazy without another guy on the team.

Bubbles (Powerpuff Girls) Super Hero
Less versatility than Ben but much, much stronger. Also good at holding the team together with her attitude.

Risha Drayen (Star Wars the Old Republic) Mechanic
A talented mechanic and highly intelligent person to be the brains of the outfit (Twlight Sparkle also counts but I don't know that she gets non-magical technology well enough). I almost went with Brainiac but I'm not sure he'd be able to work with anybody else. Risha's more of a team player.

Kluke (Blue Dragon) Medic
A doctor to be team medic. Also can summon a phoenix from her shadow which won't hurt come fightin' time.

This was fun enough I decided to try making a Hero team and their villainous enemies all out of one actor.

The Heroes (Mark Hamill):

Luke Skywalker (Star Wars) Space Wizard
Please don't tell me you need an explanation for who he is.

Christopher Blair (Wing Commander) Ace Pilot
Slight overlap with Luke's skills but Blair has no wizardly powers (some continuities he has supernatural navigation skills) and given that he racked up over 2000 combat kills, dude's freaking supernatural as a pilot. Even Luke can't compare.

Captain Michael Raynor (Time Runners) Badass Normal Time Traveler
Every team needs an non-powered agent and Raynor's a decent one, as well as a time traveler.

Professor James Arnold (Kingsman: The Secret Service) Team Genius
The team scientist, The Professor is arguably on the wrong team but was convinced by an evil billionaire rather than being evil himself so he counts.

Scooby-Doo (James and Silent Bob Strike Back) Team Mascot
Yep, Hamill was Scooby once so we get a talking dog.

Tobias Laconte (SeaQuest DSV) Alien Superpowered Being
Only appeared for two episodes but pretty crucial for the change in seasons on SeaQuest. Blind, superpowered alien disguised as a human astrophysicist.

The Villains (Mark Hamill):

The Joker (DCAU) Crazypants Genius
The Joker's surprisingly smart when he's not ruining his own plans for the lulz. No, having him on the team isn't a great idea but who can pass up Mark Hammil's incredible laugh?

Alvin the Treacherous (Dragons: Riders of Berk) The Brute
Dude's insanely strong given he goes toe to toe with dragons a few times. Also fairly smart but mostly a berserker.

Barry Minkow (Conman) The Face
Barry's a smooth talking criminal who uses persuasion and clever schemes instead of hitting people over the head, and sometimes that's what you need. Granted the Joker can be surprisingly persuasive but sometimes the right tool for the job isn't a clown.

General Vostok (Johnny Quest) Evil General
You want Superweapons? General Vostok's good at building and acquiring Superweapons.

Megatronus Prime/The Fallen (Transformers) Evil Wizard Giant Robot
An odd choice for the team wizard? Maybe so but The Fallen with his connection to a dark god, telekinesis, and entropic chaos powers has a heck of a lot of wizardry to share. And can also squish people by stepping on them.

Oh my Gosh... I love the idea with the heroes and villains. And with Mark Hamill as well... he has had quite the career even if he was never A-list famous. And also not a single Guyver reference. Well played sir!

Sean Connery:

Alright, I'll do a second Sean Connery party!

The Green Knight (Sword of the Valiant): Tank, warrior. The Green Knight gets his head cut off and just puts it right back on, I think that he would make an excellent tank for our medieval themed party.

King Arthur (First Knight): King Arthur shall be our party leader.

William of Baskerville (The Name of the Rose): WIlliam of Baskerville is a Franciscan friar who is an expert on all sorts of things. He investigates murder and is a scholar, almost a Sherlock Holmes sort of character. He can be the skill guy for our party.

Robin Hood (Robin and Marian): Robinhood will, of course, by the party archer. He likely has some rogue and ranger skills too.

Richard the Lionheart (Robinhood: Prince of Thieves): Should King Richard be our party leader instead of King Arthur? I think that King Richard could be persuaded to show deference to the legendary King Arthur and be his backup.

With a fantasy/medieval themed party, it's a shame that Ramirez and Draco are taken.

Since Sean Connery is a repeat, I'll do an additional party, an evil party this time:

Christopher Lee (evil)

King Haggard
(The Last Unicorn): We will have King Haggard as our party leader, trying to find something that will make him happy. He will actually be under the control of our party wizard...

Saruman (Lord of the Rings): We will have our evil wizard (or angelic immortal) Saruman as the party's magic user and behind the scenes leader.

Count Dooku (Star Wars): Dooku has both close combat ability and is fairly smart and manipulative, along with having a variety of Force powers. We can put him down for combat and general utility.

Count Dracula (From the 1970 Count Dracula movie): Obviously Dracula is going be be good in close combat, but I see him more as our party face. He is charming and charismatic but can control minds as well.

Francisco Scaramanga (The Man with the Golden Gun): The titular man with the golden gun, Scaramanga is an assassin who uses a golden gun. His skills make him a worthy adversary for James Bond, he can be our party rogue/assassin.

Several months ago I had an idea for a sequel to the Kevin Sorbo movie God's Not Dead which I posted here.

So with that in mind, here's my Kevin Sorbo list which will be used to Battle Zeus and the entire Pagan Pantheon as it returns to conquer Earth once again in their vicious campaign of purging Humanity of the twin sins of monotheism and atheism.

Hercules (From Hercules: The Legendary Journeys): Yeah I mean... this is self explanatory.

Dylan Hunt (Andromeda): I'm guessing he showed up through another of those time travel shenanigans. Whether he has the Andromeda Ascendent or not, his Force Lance, Leadership skills and morally upright and determined nature should provide an excellent contribution to a team that is really focused on the whole physical power aspect. Plus he knows future tech things.

Lar Gand (Supergirl TV Series): Every party needs that Dark Horse whose a perennial danger to the team but joins with them out of his own self interest and our favorite Daxamite King, Lar Gand, will not let the rest of the team forget it. Plus on a team of heavyweights, he's almost clearly the deadliest member of the bunch on his own. Never forget as helpful as he is, he only possesses one ultimate goal... MAKE DAXAM GREAT AGAIN!

Sheriff Nick Prescott (Walking Tall Direct to Video Movies!): I know what your saying... what about Kull? What about Hercules from God of War III? What about Ka-Zar... shut up. We need an everyman character. Some traumatized but affable war veteran that returns to his small town and finds it infested with corruption and so he purges the town of evildoers one lumber beating at a time. Once he cleaned up the town he thought he was done... but alas... now he's been caught up in events where he now has to help purge the world of evildoers... from Olympus... it makes sense in my head.

Crusher (Skylanders: Giants): Kids love this game and the Giant Skylanders are the best. Crusher meanwhile, he's reliable, loyal and can follow orders... those orders mainly being to crush it. He can also turn enemies to stone, which is neat and very mythological. He'll be the teams bruiser.

With a fantasy/medieval themed party, it's a shame that Ramirez and Draco are taken.

Well I just feel terrible now. I didn't want my Victorian team to deny your Medieval Sean Connery team. I mean technically... errr chronologically... they could exist at the same time timeline. I didn't want to eminent domain them out of availability. :p

Alright, let’s try another one. Brad Pitt!

Achilles (Troy): Achilles is a demigod who is invulnerable save for his heel, who is a highly skilled combatant and likely has superhuman physical prowess. Maybe in the Troy movie, where the supernatural elements have been eliminated from the myth, he is just the most amazing warrior in Greece. Either way, he could be useful for the team as a melee warrior.

John Smith (Mr and Mrs Smith): an elite assassin, highly skilled in close combat and with firearms, likely very stealthy as well. He can be the assassin or rogue of the team.

Mickey O’Neil (Snatch): An Irish Gypsy bare knuckles boxing champion. Tough as nails and great in hand to hand combat, I think he could be useful to our party.

Louis de Pointe du Lac (Interview with the Vampire): Louis is immortal, vastly faster and stronger than any human, but can’t go out in the daylight. At night he is a combat machine, during the day he needs protection.

Telford Porter, the Vanisher (Deadpool 2): this role was pretty small, but he’s an invisible man, so he will certainly be useful as a rogue, scout, and spy.

Tyler Durden (Fight Club): Tyler Durden may not be so tough compared to the other members of the party, but we can make use of his planning ability and charm: he can be our party leader.

Aldo Raine (Inglorious Basterds): Alternatively, instead of Tyler Durden being our party leader, maybe this team was put together by Aldo Raine to fight Nat-Sees.

Going to do one for Michael Clarke Duncan now... may he rest in peace.

Wilson Fisk aka "The Kingpin" (DareDevil 2004): There was some controversy over making Michael Clarke Duncan the Kingpin but I loved the casting through and through. He was able to portray the Kingpin as being both physically imposing and with all of the refine and charm that a humble 'dealer in spices' who also happened to be the ruler of the NYC Underworld and internationally connected businessman would possess. Plus being physically imposing over a six foot four Ben Affleck who portrayed DareDevil is quite a challenge in and of itself, but Michael Clarke Duncan killed it in that as well. The movie itself was deeply flawed, but that had nothing to do with Michael Clarke Duncan's personification of the Kingpin in the film.

Manute (Sin City films): At the danger of being typecast with two characters already, Manute only physically resembles the Kingpin character however with both of them being powerfully built Black men. Manute though is a loyal Mafia goon whose extremely powerful (though still outmatched by Marv) he brings other assets as well, including being an experienced street based leader of the Underworld criminal element, an excellent and imposing bodyguard and a painfully exceptional interrogator and negotiator who can do the strongarm direct negotiations on behalf of the Kingpin. A good second to have for those physical tasks.

Benjamin King (Saints Row I & IV): Founder of the powerful street gang known as the Vice Kings, named after him, Benjamin King will bring to the Kingpin's organization a skillset entirely different from that of Manute as he is an effective leader and organizer of street level operations. His criminal operations he helped build up included a protection racket from rival gangs, prostitution, drug dealing and much more but he was also moving into more legitimate enterprises as well. While not on the scale of the Kingpin's global dealings, he'd be an excellent Deputy to supervise operations in one of the Kingpin's major profit earning cities and know its being kept under solid leadership and direction. He'd also make a decent Chief of Staff if he is promoted beyond the city level.

Balrog (Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li): No... not that Balrog. This is the psychopathic, bloodthirsty boxing champion who is also a loyal Enforcer of M. Bison's Shadaloo organization though in this case he'll be having a far more sympathetic employer. Being a former Heavyweight Champion with a habit for needless brutality, his loyalty can likely be enforced by fueling his desire for both glory, wealth and beating down worthy opponents (or just beating down people in general) and while there is some crossover with other members of the team, he's still distinct enough to stand out as likely the most physically imposing member of the team as Krall is a swordfighter and Manute has other skills beyond physically gooning people. Balrog can be both a legitimate Boxer and a formidable Enforcer.

Krall (Teen Titans): Krall is a peak human swordsman hailing from a mythical time a mere five thousand years ago. Though thought of as once loyal and dedicated to his tribe, secretly he was greedy and ambitious and soon betrayed his tribe as a Witch granted him many powers, including transforming him into a mutant so powerful he could take on Teen Titans member Cyborg by himself. His exceptional skill and strength alone would be an asset and his greed can be used to manipulate him into being a loyal henchman of this criminal enterprise. Only need to find a way to engage in time travel to find him and a Witch to give him his formidably superhuman powers. :p

Lion (George of the Jungle): Because every proper villain or rich person needs a giant feline of some sort not just for self defense, but as a pet worthy of such a villainous scale and for interior decorating purposes. The fact he can talk is just a bonus.

Ah, good to see him used. He's a good actor and has a good range. You missed his awesome role as Balrog in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, where he never throws a punch but instead finds every weapon from rocket launchers to guns to having other people fight for him so he never has to do any street fighting.

Oh that was terrible. I was wondering if I should even list it since its so far from his character concept... but alas... I can imagine he could be a good Balrog in a Street Fighter setting... I guess. Alas... I've never actually seen the whole movie through but despite a pretty awesome cast all around, what I have seen of it just isn't good.

I may do a Heroes list of Michael Clarke Duncan as well, the villain one was already a bit of a challenge to write up and reconcile as something that makes some sort of sense and reach some manner of internal consistency so doing a Hero one would be a similarly fun exercise I reckon.

To be fair they also made Chun Li a piano player who can't kick (I think she pole dances in one scene, I recall watching the movie as part of a "terrible movie review" effort I was in back in the day but alcohol blunted many of the memories).

And M. Bison was a blonde Irish real estate salesman with an accent like the Lucky Charms Leprecaun....

Edit: Realized I was derailing so here's to getting back on topic, Starring Claudia Black as a Five-Man-Band.

Aeryn Sun, Farscape (The Hero)
A talented fighter pilot, good leader, tough fighter. Vulnerable to heat.

Vala Mal Doran, Stargate SG-1 (The Lancer)
Thief, Con Artist, former Go'ould host, generally sneaky somewhat less moral person to the rest of them mostly being fighters so valuable.

Leviathan, World of Final Fantasy (The Big Guy)
A monster big enough to wipe out mountains and generate tidal waves, could be useful. May have elevated food bills.

Audrey 'Mac' MaCallum, Call of Duty (The Smart Guy)
Chief Engineer on a space destroyer, suitable for handling mechanical issues.

Cassandra, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (The Chick)
It was honestly hard to find a Claudia Black role where she didn't kick ass. She's kinda typecast.

Michael Clarke Duncan, the "Heroes" Edition. Every group of baddies needs a heroic foil.

Kilowog (Green Lantern): Maybe the best part of the film despite barely being in it, Kilowog is a towering porcine/canid alien Green Lantern who unlike other Green Lanterns who make beams of will or boxing gloves for combat, prefers to use his rings energy to absorb enemy attacks so he can close in and pummel his foes into unconsciousness. So he'll fit right in despite having such a formidable power level. And in the rare case he is separated from his ring, he can still reliably beat you unconscious which is always a bonus. He's also a good trainer and despite his brutish appearance, has a strong grasp of tactics and the complex workings behind the Green Lantern ring.

Groot (Ultimate Spider-man): Adult tree person. Nuff said.

Aaron "Hawk" Parsons (Soldier of Fortune): The 'Batman' of our team will be a mountain of a man (as expected by this juncture) who grew up on the mean streets of Detroit, joined the Army and despite his imposing size and speed, became one of the best special operators (and demolitions experts) in the world.

Stinktooth (Dinotopia): A sympathetic Gigantosaurus who happens to lead his own tribe of Carnosaurs, there is no reason not to have a giant T-Rex on the team if you can have one. Certainly beats the Kingpin's pet lion after all. Plus Stinktooth is pro-exploration therefore pro-science... I'm guessing. And popular with kids.

Commander Vachir (Kung Fu Panda): At this rate, having another strong (rhino)man might seem redundant, but as the leader of Anvil of Heaven, he helped design the super-impressive maximum security prison facility that kept contained a notoriously deadly anthropomorphic Snow Leopard. So he definitely has strong leadership qualities, and a good sense of engineering despite being so prideful. While he became complacent, it was only after twenty years of executing the same mission. He's ruthless against tyranny and injustice and a Kung Fu master himself as well. Definitely a team asset.

For a heroic Michael Clarke Duncan movie, what about John Coffee from The Green Mile? Healing powers can be really helpful.

I thought about it but he seemed disgustingly nonviolent. Which is fine and all... But not a fit for the Squad I feel.

Going to continue my tradition of resurrecting dead Actors and try and make a villainous team out of one of those prolific character actors that you'd likely recognize if you saw enough movies (or television series) from the period but never really remembered the name of.

In this case, this list is in honor of awesome (and often villainous) character actor Larry Drake (1950-2016).

Robert G. Durant (Darkman films): The 1990 film Darkman is a cult classic superhero film directed by Sam Raimi halfway between directing his Evil Dead trilogy which started his career and his later Spider-Man trilogy which I feel launched the modern superhero genre of films. And while that movie starred Liam Neeson as the protaganist, the films primary villain (though not its Big Bad) was Crimelord Robert Durant. Serving a role similar to Robocop's Clarence Boddicker, Robert Durant was a ruthless, sadistic and competent Crimelord who worked on behalf of an evil corporate businessman as a terrifying problem solver. Robert Durant oozed villainous personality and his opening scene helped establish his legitimacy as a criminal threat and just how scary going up against him could be. He was so great that The Return of Durant was the subtitle of the sequel. Unlike other villains though, Durant was more focused and less boisterous which helped add to his threatening presence and quiet menacing intensity. He also liberally used a grenade launcher from a helicopter, so that's fun.

Jackson Chappell (Batman Beyond): Robert Durant (and thus Larry Drake) already had an imposing physical presence but Jackson Chappell, the caretaker of an aged and infirm Batman rogue known as Bane, is even more imposing. Using a variation of the same super steroid 'Venom' that once enhanced Bane, Jackson Chappell managed to create an easy 'slap on patch' to dispense the Venom steroid and became rich off of selling that drug. When he battled the futuristic Batman, through the use of his 'Slappers' he was able to enhance his own physical abilities including his strength so great he was able to overpower (though not outsmart) the technologically advanced Batman. Though he's smart, he's not a criminal mastermind like Robert Durant who will undoubtedly be able to focus his talents and his potentially superhuman strength and physicality to far better use.

Colonel Vox (Justice League Unlimited): Vox is a special and powerful goon, a powerful one who has to speak through a voice box... which doubles as a device that allows him to unleash sonic blasts that can shatter objects, stun individuals as powerful as Wonder Woman and kill its targets if exposed long enough.

Evan "Dr. Giggles" Rendell Jr (Dr. Giggles): Maybe Colonel Vox got too close to this guy one day. Evan grow up helping his father, a surgeon, with his honorable work in experimental surgery to reanimate dead when the locals decided to stone his father to death and dump the poor son into an insane asylum where his psychosis further developed and his medical talents went to waste. Every Crimelord could use a medical specialist, not just for excellent under the table medical assistance, but also to offer enhanced health care to prisoners and foes as well as to nobly advance the science of experimental surgery and reanimation (and creative serial killing). He's probably great for motivating minions to do their best, lest they only end up wounded...

Kazdan Paratus (Star Wars: The Force Unleashed): Getting a crazy theme going on here... Kazdan Paratus was an Aleena (pint sized) Jedi Knight who exhibited antisocial tendencies and preferred working on droids instead of hanging out with fellow sentients. He succeeded in his Jedi Trials thanks more to his intelligence then anything but when he survived the Jedi Purge due to his own cowardice, his survivors guilt manifested into an obsession with creating a substitute to his life in the Jedi Temple on an isolated world, using junk and debris to recreate his home he fled from and lapsing into complete schizophrenia before the end... WHICH MAKES HIM PERFECT for this team. He just needs some proper guidance and professional medical assistance and as everyone knows, only crazy can treat crazy... or something.

"Colonel" Burrock (Stargate SG-1): Renowned across at least one planet for his Unas taming abilities and being a masterful salesman, Burrock is clearly an expert in both marketing, keeping prisoners in line and taming savages, all valuable skills to offer a ruthless interplanetary crimelord. Burrock is smart enough to deal, showing initial intrigue when he met SG-1 and was savvy enough to turn the tables on them when he realized they weren't there for good business. Plus he must have a great deal of drive and persistence in figuring out DHD addresses by endlessly punching in known symbols through his investigations and actually successful opening portals. Now that's dedication to his job (slavery) which he is clearly passionate about.

Top Gun Maverick helped rekindle some memories of Val Kilmer's impressive career... including a fair number of period roles he actually engaged in. Specifically from the 19th Century. So sorry, no Val Kilmer Batman in this list.

Without Further Ado... the closest we might get to an Old West Superhero Group.

Doc Holliday (Tombstone): Potentially his most iconic role, Doc Holliday was portrayed in the film as such a good shot and quickdraw that not even Wyatt Earp could compare to him. And he was still the best in spite of his character suffering from near debilitating tuberculosis through the whole films story. The gunman/gambler/conman was even able to face down threats when tipsy level, blurry vision, seeing double Drunk... though he required two guns in those cases. If his health problems don't debilitate him he can pwn anyone in a gunfight.

Colonel John Henry Patterson (The Ghost and the Darkness): Portraying an Irish born Railroad Engineer working for the British Empire, the military veteran that is Colonel John Henry Patterson was a great character as well. He already had a reputation as a skilled hunter of tigers in India before this film and on his first night in Africa killed a Lion with one shot which was apparently quite the feat in the film. So he's a skilled hunter, shooter, tracker and survivalist whose extremely well read. In addition to that, he's an administrator, leader, negotiator and a railroad engineer as well.

Wyatt Earp (Wyatt Earps Revenge): Wait what? Yeah in this excellent made for TV movie, (or not) Val Kilmer portrayed an aging Wyatt Earp who is still young enough to be a badass with a distinctive Buntline 12" inch Colt Six Shooter. Due to his experience, this version of Wyatt Earp, along with initially mindfucking Doc Holliday (and vice versa) can be quite the important old hand who can bless the rest of the team with his experience.

Billy the Kid/William Bonney: From the 1989 movie Billy the Kid Val Kilmer portrayed the 'protaganist' in this film ironically labeled as both an "All American Hero" and "Cold Blooded Killer." He'll be a vengeance fueled quick drawing gunfighter whose still canny enough to take the advantage of ambushing Lawmen instead of dueling them. Despite his raw talent he'll likely be Junior on this team needing some proper focus and mentoring.

Lieutenant Jim Ducharme (The Missing): He was a Cavalryman in this movie. One scene. Didn't really do anything but I mean... its either this or Mark Twain (but I hadn't seen that kiddie movie he was Mark Twain in). But maybe this guy if given main role plot development is like a really good horse rider... and uhhh gets a bonus in hot environments since he was supposed to be in charge of a cavalry unit that investigated the Apachean and other tribes of the Southwest United States. Bonus if he has a repeating carbine. The Missing was a good movie though.

Apparently actress Kelly Hu has had a lot of badass roles... including a lot of voice work.

Karai (TMNT Movie): Every team needs a leader and Karai, the leader of the Foot Clan, might be the one for this squad. A pure ninja through and through whose almost the match for the best of the Ninja Turtles as well as having trained under Master Shredder himself. Despite her criminal liaisons and associations, she showed she was quite honorable in her interactions in the TMNT animated movie as well as commanding the respect of the Foot Clan. Hopefully she'll prove her leadership qualities here as well.

Cheshire (DC Animated): Kelly Hu did voice the far deadlier assassin extraodinaire, Lady Shiva who is one of the deadliest martial artists period, but she's voiced Cheshire both in Young Justice and Catwoman: Hunted so that role wins out for the DC Animated representation. Cheshire is a deadly assassin, skilled martial artist and has some interesting family dynamics with the rest of her colorful family as well. She's also not completely amoral, there's a heart of humanity in there even if it's not tempered by a strong moral or ethical code.

Lady Deathstrike (X-Men Movies): Sadly she didn't get much character development in X-2 though she was quite the formidable badass in this film as the dutiful bodyguard and assistant to William Stryker. Having adamantium claws herself as well as a healing factor, she was more then capable of holding her own against Wolverine before she expired from a bit of an adamantium overdose. Still she'll be a dutiful companion in this squad.

Grace Chen/Chen Pei-Pei (Martial Law): Chinese born LAPD Detective whose a skilled martial artist and investigator. Dedicated to her work, she'll be able to provide a set of skills from her law enforcement background that can be a real asset to the team when it comes to investigations, profiling, interrogation and shooting people at range. She can also be a moral voice on the team, which is needed considering her likely more deadly companions.

Visas Marr (Star Wars: KOTOR 2): Though she might be blind, she also has vision. A powerful Dark Side apprentice who was swayed to the light by the Jedi Exile, Visas Marr is a Miraluka, and thus actually blind though it does little to impair her impressive martial and combat abilities. Along with being skilled with the lightsaber, Visas Marr is good with force abilities including telekinesis as well as performing certain dark side abilities as well despite being firmly in the Light. Her servile attitude to those she respects can prove useful as well. She also possesses Farsight, a nice variation of the precognition ability.

Cassandra The Sorceress (Mummy/Scorpion King): A martially skilled Sorceress from Ancient Egypt, who possesses clairvoyance as well as various magical abilities such as potion making and the ability to charm snakes. Being kind, brave and able to back it up with her swordsmanship, wisdom and agility, she'll also help balance the team morally as well.

Frost (Mortal Kombat): Kelly Hu has voiced three characters in Mortal Kombat, Sindel, D'vorah and Frost. All were villains and honestly, while the former two are pretty unique, it also seems likely that Frost, the rogue and villainous Lin Kuei Ninja Android is likely the only one who could fit on this team. Thankfully, in spite of being yet another martially skilled ninja, her ice based powers and cybernetics would actually add to this teams abilities and capabilities and her personality, one of which had her fall into villainy due to her ambition and feelings of inadequacy, would play a nice contrast with this team and lead to that juicy character development.

For Bruce Willis...

John McClane (Die Hard Movies): Kind of goes without saying. The only issue is if everyone else on the list can keep up with him, if not in general, then just in body count.

David Dunn (Unbreakableverse): Super strength, nigh invulnerability. Weakness to water (that last movie he was in... uffda). Plus he's got a Sixth Sense about crimes about to happen or that have happened which help his natural inclination to help and investigate things (yes I made that joke).

Korben Dallas (Fifth Element): The problem with a Bruce Willis (among other actors of this vein) is having too many similar characters. Bruce Willis has played a lot of one off badass action heroes ranging from cops to Special Forces soldiers but Korben Dallas, Special Forces Operator turned Cab Driver in a futuristic New York City is pretty exceptional. Potential technology upgrades aside he might be even more of a badass than John McClane in a fight. Plus he can fly... future cars... which I think counts as piloting experience. His being from the future might help the lack of technical knowledge of both McClane and Hartigan etc.

John Hartigan (Sin City): He might seem replicative of others on the list, but John Hartigan has more of an investigative streak then McClane or Dunn. While those two are insightful, Hartigan made his career being an incorruptible Police Detective in Basin City of all places. He's nigh indomitable, able to hold his own in a fight and like McClane, overcome incredible amounts of punishment to selflessly persevere and overcome. Pretty good shot as well.

Groogen (The Orville): SURPRISE. Never know when you'll need a Katrudian to appear out of nowhere. He has a background in botany and the other sciences but his main asset I think will be him just showing up.

Yes, Frank Moses from the Red movie series would be a certifiable badass but I don't know if he'd be a good fit for this team. On one hand he's almost too good on a team with a fair bit of overlap in the skills department. Plus he kinda has his own team in those films.

Lance Reddick!

Time to explore what badass roles he's portrayed in his body of work and hope I don't confuse him with Peter Mensah.

Charon (John Wick): There's a lot of butler and assistance characters in fiction but Charon, the Concierge of the Continental Hotel in New York City that caters to the Underworld, left a big impact with a series of fairly short scenes across multiple movies as the dutiful, deadly and unflappable minder of that Hotels front desk. Excellent addition to any team.

Cedric Daniels (The Wire): Appeared in that celebrated police/crime drama series taking place in Baltimore as an already veteran officer with integrity and valuing duty. He rose to the heights of leadership due to his competence and diligence and then, of course, decided to go private and become a Criminal Defense Attorney and honestly, maybe someone with a Law Enforcement and Legal background and competency could be used on more teams.

Falcon (Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes): He portrayed Falcon in a couple of episodes of one of Disney/Marvel's better animated cartoon series so I'm satisfied with placing a proper superhero into this group. In addition to what you already know about Falcon from the MCU, this Falcon can also communicate with birds... so take that Aquaman. This is a winning superpower.

Al Wesker (Resident Evil Netflix Series): Super scientist and a good Father who also possesses surprisingly brutal combat skills. Lance Reddick's role(s) in the Netflix series was a highlight of the otherwise disappointing series that wasn't really faithful to the lore at all. He'll add much needed scientific acumen to the team.

Hellboy (Hellboy: Web of Wyrd): Basically a superhuman supernatural fighting Hellspawn of a Cop so he'd mesh well with the team. He's a skilled and veteran agent and combatant, would be a huge help to deal with paranormal threats and most notably his demonic lineage means he has vastly superhuman strength, durability, an invincible punching fist and a nigh immunity to heat and flames. Game hasn't come out yet of course but that's fine.

Honorable mentions go to Commander Zavala of Destiny, Sylens of Horizon Zero Dawn, Phillip Broyles of the TV series Fringe and the upcoming posthumous releases where he'll be portraying Zeus and AND Lex Luthor... keeping in mind he's already voiced Ra's Al Ghul for DC Animated.

In the mere year since I posted this list Kelly Hu has added the voice of Cheshire from the animated DC Movie Catwoman: Hunted and the villain(ess) Dr. Anna Ripley from a Critical Role cartoon series.

And also she's the voice for Madame Bo, the tavenkeeper and trainer of Kung Lao and Raiden, as well as Li Mei, Chief Constable in Outworld and former Umgadi/Royal Guard. She also provided model work for the Empress of Outworld, Sindel. Truly a force to be recokoned with in any Multiverse setting where alternate versions of characters are a thing. :p
