The idea behind this thread is to create a simple enough. Create a somewhat balanced and hopefully practical squad or team of heroes based off of the acting history or filmography of a single actor or actress.
Some guidelines:
> Make it a team of roughly 4 to 8 characters
> Each character should add something different or some versaility/capability. Adding Morgan Freeman (God) twice isn't particularly clever.
> Going off of the previous rule: make sure the characters are distinct. For example 90% of Steven Seagals roles are incredibly similar and could very likely be swapped out without much issue.
> Make sure the characters are somewhat notable (ie don't add Neal McDonough as Thug #3 from Darkman) They need to be characters with some sort of established presence and capability.
> A majority of the characters should be live (or CGI style motion/image capture) action based but you can flesh out the squads/teams with voice acted roles in animated features or video games as well.
Example:
Mary Elizabeth Winstead
1. Mary Todd Lincoln (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter): Team Leader/First Lady.
Despite being out of her time and the fact the historical Mary Tood Lincoln (as best as we know with records as biased as they were from the time) an action heroine, this badass First Lady showed her resolve during the Civil War and the Vampiric menace that helped foment it. Combined with her resolve and obvious Team Mom credentials, she's also a patriot, has a medical background and brained a Vampire Queen with a Spencer Repeater at the end of the film. Total Mama Bear.
2. Ramona Flowers (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World): Fighter/Martial Artist
Not only is she a skilled warrior who has left devastation in her wake, she apparently carries a bag of holding which is hiding a giant hammer. She's also a veteran rollerblader and delivery girl for Amazon.ca... despite being an American. Not rare of course, just an interesting outlier.
3. Dr. Kate Lloyd (The Thing 2011): Scientist
Though a paleontologist by academic background, she has a diverse set of skills that are a nightmare for extraterrestrial gribbly eldritch beings that emerge from the great nether beyond. Able to operate homemade flamethrowers, conjure up alien infiltrator detection methods, and leading snowcat expeditions to crashed starships under the ice and battling awful CGI monstrosities.
4. Dani Zakarweski (Gemini Man): Super Agent/Gun Girl
Veteran DIA agent and investigator whose got enough gun skills to mow down waves of highly trained government assassins and pull deep cover assignments on agents more experienced then herself. Veteran operator, spy and investigator, she could be the tactical brains of the team and a clutch executive leader of the squad.
5. Gwen Grayson/Royal Pain (Sky High): Gearhead/Tech.
A teenaged technopath with other assorted electrical powers, she has a bit of a dark streak but has shown that she's not Chaotic Evil level and well, if it worked for suicide squad, it'll work here. Her shift from supervillain to redemption should help with the whole redemptive story arc in general and create a very compelling narrative.
6. LucyGennero McClaine (Die Hard films): Rookie
While she had some interesting scenes in Die Hard 4 it was utterly derailed by the utter and complete crapshoot that was the latest Die Hard movie which focused on the most derivative and lame 'son' character ever in an equally vapid plot. She'll be given the chance to rise up to her families action hero(ine) lineage here.
